Tesco drill wanr to attach saw bit dont know how to unscrew the chuckkk

Go to Lowes, Home Depot, Menards or reasonably good Hardware store. buy a ceramic bit. They are usually with the wood, steel and concrete bits. Small bits arent to pricy. If you need a larger hole like the on the shower pipe goes through, you will need a ceramic hole saw. Hole saws are coated with diamond chips and will probably cost $40 or more. good Luck

If the chuck is completely jammed, you can replace it. If its locked but open, then you can remove the screw holding the chuck with an allen wrench. It's going be be tough because it will be secured with glue, such as loc-tite, and it will also be a left handed screw. So be sure to turn clockwise to unscrew it.

It's a little pricey, but better than buying a new drill. You should also be able to have a service center put the part on for you, if you don't feel comfortable taking it apart.

Yes, you can drill them with most any hole saw...just make sure to only use the pilot bit when drilling the pilot hole and then place the hole saw on after the pilot hole is drilled...
Do not apply much pressure to the bit... only enough to give a bit of a cut from the bit as you are drilling the hole.

it is not a drill, it is a driver. Unless you change the chuck or add one onto it,. sorry to say., it ain't happennin...

Grab the side or around the chuck and run the drill in reverse to loosen the chuck...

Hello. Somewhere in your set you will find what is called an arbor. The arbor has a drill bit in it and the hole saws get screwed on to the arbor.

I would check to see that ID of the blade arbor matches the OD of the motor arbor, and you are not missing an adapter ring. Then I would get some acetone and a wire brush clean all surfaces where the blade seats. This is also good practice for Jacobs chucks on drills, that allow the drill bits to spin.

I would replace the chuck or purchase a 1/16" quick change drill bit.

open the chuck all the way and then look down in the centre of the chuck you should see a cross head screw
unscrew and the chuck should pull out as this is on a taper system ( note the screw is left hand thread )
