My Proform treadmill will not incline. It is stuck at about mid incline. When I turn on the treadmill, it raises and lowers back to mid incline right away. Despite pressing incline buttons, there is no reaction. I have tried reinserting key to recalibrate as stated in manual to no improvement.

Under the hood there should be a tech sheet with calibration instructions. I have not worked on these for several years or I would rattle off the procedure. If the sheet is still there make sure you put it back in the plastic sleeve for next time..... Eric

Lower incline

Dear Sir:

I STRONG recommend RUN the calibration Software Inmediately, for eay Diagnose and troubleshooting, most of them instruction has coming in the Hood of Motor, follow the instruction or use your instruction manual.

Adjust the sensor speed attached the diagram. Tight the wires from sensor speed. The sensor speed can be faulty. Adjust the Pot with the gear in the same motor, both can be faulty. And finally the main motor board can be wrong. sincerely.

God bless you.

My proform tl 585 is stuck on an incline. when i try to lower the incline, the button does nothing. the incline could still raise, but obviously i'd rather lower it than raise it more.

Take the cover off and inspect the wiring. Make sure all the wires from the incline motor are connected.
If all the wires are connected and everything looks OK, try the incline again.
There are only 3 wires on the incline motor, red, white and black. This machine does not rely on any electronics to operate the incline. We know the motor works, because it will go up..Likely the switch in the console is defective.
To lower the incline, reverse the black and red wires, that will make up go down and vice versa.. If that doesn't work, the motor is likely defective.
The incline motor is available, around $110. To order find the model number on the frame of the treadmill and call the service number found there. Have your model number ready (starts with "P").
The console is no longer available.

I have an Insight DK614 Tredmill that will not run. It displays an error message "E6" and the running deck will not lower. The motor is still running albeit at a much lower rate. No movement...

E6 or E7 An E6 or E7 error code is an incline error code. The E7 code means the potentiometer value the console is reading from the lift motor is out of range. This can happen when there is a bad wire harness connection or a damaged wire harness. It could also just mean the incline motor needs to be adjusted back into range. If all wire connections look ok, the incline motor will need to be adjusted.
  1. Turn the power OFF, wait for 5-seconds and turn back ON.
  2. Get into test mode and enter through the I/O testing step. This screen will display the potentiometer value of the incline motor. Different models will have different values. Check to see if the running deck is raised to high incline level or if it is at the low level. If the running deck is at a low position press the incline up button. This will cause the incline motor to raise the running deck up. When the deck gets to a mid-level position, press the incline up button a second time to stop the deck. If the running deck is in a high incline position, use the incline down button to adjust the deck to a mid-level position.
  3. Once the unit is in the mid-level position, power the treadmill off for 5-seconds and then power it back ON.
  4. Start the treadmill.
  5. Once the treadmill starts the running deck will move to the level 0 position. If this does not resolve the issue or it will not adjust please contact customer service.
Also, note that not all models will have the ability to adjust the incline motor. If the adjustment procedure is not found in the Owner's Manual then contact customer service. Treadmill Error Codes Troubleshooting

How do i fold up then unfold the proform xp 620?

Before folding the treadmill, adjust the incline to the lowest position. If you do not do this, you may damage the treadmill when you fold it. Remove the key and unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 45 lbs. (20 kg) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill.
Hold the metal frame firmly in the location shown by the arrow at the right. CAUTION: To decrease the possibility of injury, do not lift the frame by the plastic foot rails. Make sure to bend your legs and keep your back straight as you raise the frame. Raise the frame about halfway to the vertical position.
Raise the frame until the latch knob locks into the storage position. Make sure that the latch knob is locked in the storage position. To protect the floor or carpet from damage, place a mat under the treadmill. Keep the treadmill out of direct sunlight. Do not leave the treadmill in the storage position in temperatures above 85° F (30° C).
To lower follow this procedure:
Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand. Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. It may be necessary to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to the left. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob.
Hold the metal frame firmly with both hands and lower it to the floor. CAUTION: Do not grip only the plastic foot rails or drop the frame to the floor. Bend your legs and keep your back straight.

The proform 730 CS treadmill is stuck in the inclined position. It doesn't go down when pressing the down arrow. Is there a manual way to lower it.

The only way is loosening the screw or nut and making it back manually, but it is the right way to fix it, you should review the KEYPAD, specifically the down key. tries to do the following: turn it off and rub the area where the key now is turn it on again if it does not work with you to replace that part

Hello I have a Nordic Track A2050 treadmill and it has worked flawlessly till today, The unit was open (unfolded) and I wanted to close it because I nearly killed myself tripping over it, so I turned it on...

Hello there, The machine is attempting to do an incline calibration. Keep the unit lowered as you have it, reinstall the safety key, allow the unit to go all the way to the top and then all the way to the bottom. The machine will stop when at the bottom and the screen will go back to normal. The machine will not overtravel the incline motor and damage it. Just let the calibration finish the procedure and you will be fine.
Good Luck! Tim
FYI this will happen anytime the safety key is removed while the incline is moving on nordictrack brand machines.
