CAUTION: Do not touch the surface of the Transfer Roller as fingerprints can cause image quality problems.

SOURCE: HOW TO RESET CHIP FOR
I found this website that has chip resetters for, it seems, most of the Xerox printers, except I didn't see the 7500 listed. Contact them to see if their resetter will work on the 7500:

I couldn't find anything on resetting the chip with the printer's software, so it looks like the only option is to get hold of a chip resetter.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Try this: Hold down the back ARROW key with the "i" them with your other hand turn on the machine.
If that did not help, kindly contact the manufacturer and see if they have another way of resetting the chip.

I have a XEROX 6200 Printer. I tried to do the solutions above, but I did not have those options in the Maintenance Menu. I pulled out the Transfer Roller Unit and opened up the two screws on top. When I pulled the top, it was loaded with toner. I poured out all that toner in the trash and blew out the rest with a air gun till it was clean. Be careful of the two white gears on the side, when you take off the top. You don't want to lose them. Anyhow, I reassembled the unit back and stuck it back into the printer and the error message was gone. Yeayyyyyyyyy!
