SOURCE: galaxy 44v no transmit or receive

Try replacing TR41 (2SA473).
Also check TR40 (2SC945), D78 (7.5 volt Zener Diode), and D79 (KB 262).

Sounds like it blowed...check fuse, power wires.. if it got hooked up backwards it will blow a diode in back of radio. Take off cover change all black diodes with a solder gun.

SOURCE: were is the keying final an a DX cb radio

There is no keying FINAL? there is a diode under the mic connector that controls TX/RX keying up.. but if your talking about the Final RF transistor its a 2sc2312,or 2sc1969 both they discontinued, so places still have them. they should be under $6.. but all radios new, are using MOSfet's.. there is a process to do the change on radios that had the analog transistors.

You could send it in to us and we can fix it.
We do not charge to look at any radio -no bench fees-..
Let me know Ill get you any info that you need.

Galaxy dx-44v wont power on

check near the rear of the radio.. around the power input connection and the audio transformer there should be a 1n4001 diode.. check it for a short. replace it if it is.. and it should power up.. also in the same area check for any shorted traces.. on the circuit side.. also
on the sides of rci main board radios near the bracket screws theres a transistor voltage regulator.. make sure its connected to the board.. sometimes they come loose.

I would like to replace the stock 2SC1969 bipolar transistor with a ERF2030 mosfet transistor in a Galaxy 93T.Can anyone tell me if any caps need to be removed on the amp board since C203 and L33 are not...

The radio you listed "Galaxy DX-93T Base CB Radio" utilizes a 2SC2290 final transistor. This is not a T220 2SC1969 and you cannot install an ERF2030. This is a round and white looking transistor. Replace it with only the same transistor.

I have a galaxy 44v it transmits on fm but receives on am what can i do to fix this problem

Replace the AM final, then make sure your antenna is tuned to lowest SWR to prevent the final from burning out again.

Quiet Galaxy DX 44V

Sounds like you have lost a final or a driver transistor if so a shop or reputable repairman is your best answer. You should also have him check your cables and SWR on your antenna system as well as check for loose grounds. Sounds like you had a high SWR and blew out a final transistor. But it could be as simple as a loose component or cold solder joint in the radio. Get professional help.

Symptom:Buzzing or motorboating sound in either the transmit or receive.
Problem: TR602 is oscillating
Cure: Replace C602 with a .01uF cap {Cap is located in the power supply board}.
RG 66,99,DX2517 Replace Q54 2SB754 60watt 7A with a higher power 2SB817 100 Watt 12A. Derating of this component will cool operation, provide better voltage stability, decrease wobble, allow voltage increase to 14.5 volts comfortably. (replace 10 volt caps in this section of the radio to a minimum of 16 volts before increasing supply voltage to this level)and provide faster swing rise time, Replace Q37 2SA473 to a 2SA1012-0 or ECG153 this will improve the clarity and volume of the modulation and it will also run a lot cooler.
