What kind of bulb for the Morse 4300 sewing machine

The Morse 4300 and 4400 use the same small 15W screw in light bulb as many other sewing machines. This is one vendor: Bulb 15 Watt Small screw in base A1 Sewing Machine Specialists

I have a Montgomery Signature Sewing Machine. I need a new bulb. How do I get one since Montgomery went out of business and where can I purchase one.

will be a 10 watt or a bit more and is available from most sewing machine shops ( don't get a bulb with too high wattage as it heats the end cover of the machine and burns the socket
bulbs are not manufacturer specific but are generic so take the old bulb along to get the same wattage and glass size as some globes are bigger in dimensions than others and will not fit in the end of the machine

What light bulb does the morse zig zag 4300 sewing machine take?

The Morse 4300 typically uses a standard 15 watt screw in style sewing bulb. Just like the one shown in the enclosed link. However, due to the age of this machine, it is possible that the light fixture has been changed at some point. If you have a burned out bulb, and it has a screw style base, this one will be right. There is also a push in style used on many aftermarket fixtures. Both styles of bulb are fairly universal though. So it will be one or the other.

What is the bulb for the 258 singer sewing machine

Singer has the parts list for the 258 on their support site: http://www.singerco.com/support/replacement-parts-chart . The direct link is http://parts.singerco.com/CPpartCharts/2_2999/258.pdf . The lamp is shown on page 6. The part number is 603938-001 or 603938-002 (Light L 11) depending on if the machine's motor is UL or Standard. Amazon has a couple of vendors that list the 603938 bulb. One of the vendors is http://www.amazon.com/Singer-Long-Light-Watt-120-Volt-Push-In/dp/B0001DUOSY .

I hope this helps.

I need to know what the power consumption is for my serger as we will be moving off the grid. thank you.

Hi gladysmorin...
We would need the info from your metal tag on the surger motor before we can tell you what the power consumption would be.
So you will need to look on the metal tag that is attached to the surger motor and retrieve that information, you will need the amperage and the voltage.
But you can also figure out how many watts any appliance will consume in power...you will do some math.

If you want the watts, volts or amps for a given appliance follow the examples below:

Amps X Volts = Watts
example: 3.0 amps X 220 volts = 660 Watts
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Watts ( / ) divided by Amps = Volts
example: 100 watts ( / ) divided by10 Amps = 10 Volts
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Watts ( / )divided by Volts = Amps
example: 60 watts ( / ) divided by 120 volts = .5 Amps
( / ) = the right slash means...divided by.
