Try rocking the unit by hand to get it engaged.

SOURCE: hydrostat trans starting to make moaning noise stops pulling

it may be full of dirt etc and has soaked up most of the oil inside the case, if the axle seals are worn and the selector shaft seal is worn I would say that is the problem, if that is the case you may be up for a new trans as I have done a transaxle just recently and the damage inside was extensive and expensive.
you will have to remove the trans and seperate the trans case for inspection
Hope this helps

SOURCE: tractor wont drive or engage electric clutch.

It thinks you aren't sitting on the seat.
There are 2 wires and a switch under the seat. The plug may have come off, the connections might be bad, or the switch might be bad.

SOURCE: Craftsman lawn tractor mower,

The belt is probably slipping because it is not tight enough. look by the belt, inside there is a little spring, you may half to tighten it.

SOURCE: Mower will not move.

It is very likely that your belt is not on right. Check your manual to see it it is on right.

My ariens lawn tractor is stuck in gear how do I manually put the tractor in gear and in neutral ?

Depending on the model of the tractor would determine what style transmission you have. However, there should be a by-pass valve located on the rear of the tractor. It looks something like a small piece of wire. Pull this by-pass valve out and you can then push the tractor.

Craftsman riding lawnmower, model #917 259012 hydrostat stopped working

Check belts. Check transmission fluid level if possible. Check linkage between shifter and transmission. Check belt tensioners under unit above deck.

Why won't the blades engage on my Ariens 911403

Chances are the deck drive belt has been knocked off one of the pulleys or the drive clutch won't engage properly. With the spark plug wire removed, rotate the blades by hand and make sure they both move together. This verifies the blade linking belt is OK. Now engage the blade operating control and feel for resistance as you rotate the blades. If you feel no change in resistance, remove the belt cover and reinstall the drive belt over the pulleys and tensioner/clutch mechanism.

Transmission by pass will not reengage

If you are pulling a lever(s) to do this, the pin the connects the lever to the hydro pump could have come lose. Some are fastened together with a removable pin. Check there first.

The mower gets slower and slower and then stops moving completely. I turn it off for five or ten minutes and it's okay ... occuring more frequently ....

The hydrostat transmission is low on fluid. Check your manual, some of these can be filled...most cannot. If yours can't be filled/doesn't have a fill opening, Husq is going to recommend to replace the transmission (sealed unit). There has been limited success by trying to top off the trans thru the vent tube. This is not a Husq approved repair, and is very slow and tedious. But it is a lot less expensive. Good luck!

Did you check the Hydrostat freewheel control. I can't tell specifically from your question, but it sounds like the freewheel control is set in the freewheel position. See page 12 in the owners manual.
