Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC F3 Digital Camera

2 Answers

My Panasonic Lumic DMC-F3 Will start to record videos, but when I go to stop the recording and save it to the camera, it says "Read Error" and shuts itself down... I don't know what it is. Any ideas? And it's a new SD card with nothing saved onto it yet.

Hi in my Lumix FZ28 I am using Transcend 8 GB SDHC card and it works , Instead if I place a Kingston 32GB SD formatted fat32 it will not accepted. I strongly suspect that 32GB gives it indigestion :-)

Make sure you are not using an incompatible card like a SDHC card which looks identical. If the F3 can use those cards, make sure you format it in the menu system. If it still fails, try another card, it may be bad. Remove the card and do a short recording to internal memory to check system, if it is capable.

It sounds like you have the review mode, which won't allow you to take pictures - change the mode using the dial at the top of the camera. Change the dial to Auto, "A", and you should be able to take pictures.

SOURCE: no sound in recording videos

Do you mean in your camera or on your computer. If on your computer Google K-Lite. Hear you can download the codec drivers to update your computer to view and hear the movies you record.

SOURCE: Can I use a SDHC card in my Panasonic DMC-TZ1

According to the TZ1 manual the maximum size of SD hard is 2gb. You cannot use the new format SDHC card as it is not recognized.

SOURCE: None of my SD cards (I have 4) will work with my panasonic lumix

This camera uses the SD standard - not SD HC.
Be sure you are using a compatible card!
The highest capacity mentioned in the manual is 1GB althought the SD stanard supports up to 4GB.

Panasonic DMC-FT1 can't upload movies

Easier solution. Your record setting are on AVCHD best for playing HD on TV. set your camera to HD JPEG and you can watch it on your PC and save it aswell through software provided. Also if you want to save recording that are already on AVCHD just conect to a DVD recorder and record it to DVD or use free software like Media Classic but I prefer not to add too many media software products as they can cause conflits and more problems

Panasonic lumix DMC-ZS1 - won't record video

It might be telling you that the card you have in the camera isn't fast enough to keep up with the demands of a video recording. You need to buy a more expensive card with a faster speed rating.

I cant get the zoom to work on panasonic lumix dmc-z8 while filming. It only works while taking a picture.. Can you help me please

You should read the manual.

It states that you can only zoom before you start recording video, and not while recording.

This is not a fault

How tu use video recording..

Hi,

The picture that I posted shows a TZ3 mode dial. I added a blue arrow to point out an icon on the mode dial.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Turn the mode dial on the camera so this icon is selected.
2. Switch on the camera.
3. Aim the camera at your subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, then press it fully to begin the video. (Just as you would take a picture.)
4. To stop taking video, press the shutter button fully again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~When a video starts being taken, its current length will appear on the camera's LCD screen.
~Videos take up more space on the memory card than do pictures.
~If an SD memory card becomes full while recording, then the video will stop automatically.
~Videos can be played back on the camera's "PLAYBACK" mode. They can also be viewed on a TV or downloaded to a computer.
