SOURCE: Kenwood KDC-119 car stereo problem
There is a small hole at the bottom of the stereo face that will reset the system. I pushed a pen tip into the hole and it turned the stereo off. When I removed the pen, the system turned on and the CD ejected. Problem solved.

check your connections. i believe only the standby wire is connected.. or the built in amplifier detects a short on the speaker wires.
SOURCE: Help! My CD is stuck and receiver will not power up!
It sounds like the head unit is going bad. If the CD is not that important to you dont worry about it. Also you may want to check the fuses behind the head unit. Also make sure the 12 V+ Memory backup, ground, and Ignition Wires are hooked up correctly. Well, the ignition probably is, but you never know.
I hope this is helpful!
