The freezer drips water into the fridge below by a constant drip. I have taken it apart and defrosted the ice under the base of the freezer every month with the drip hole in the back with a hair dryer until in runs through to base below the refrigerator for the last 5 months. We disconnected the ice maker but it is dripping again, meaning the ice sheet is back in the freezer again. What is making it freeze up?

Tube sometimes freezes because of minerals in it hold one droplet at a time until buildup freezes solid. Replace tube first. Water valve allowing some droplets through can also cause this. Tube first-less expensive.
