Cub cadet spark plug boot - Mtd 19 In. 173 CC OHV 3-In-1

Isolate and verify trouble is within engine.

Locate connectors where wiring harnesses from engine and equipment are joined. Separate connectors and remove white kill lead from engine connector. Rejoin connectors and position or insulate kill lead terminal so it cannot touch ground.

If spark returns after isolating the ignition modules by disconnecting the white wire then the problem is with the machine, not the engine.

Have you checked for spark at the spark plug, do that and report back.

They are on each cylinder head. There is a wire from the coil to each spark plug. Remove the wire and you'll see the spark plug

U need for items for a running motor. Compression, gas, air, spark.

I would prioritize the spark and fuel flow items.

For some reason, our Cub Cadet riding mower 1046 will not start. The battery is o.k. Where are the spark plugs? What could be wrong with it?

remove the top cover from the engine and remove the small wire from the coil if still no spark the coil is bad

check condition of the magneto,located under the flywheel

Try replacing the spark plug first, if still no spark, sounds like the ignition coil is going/bad.

just trace the spark plug wire to the coil but you can check the spark by putting a new plug in the wire and make sure it is grounded and turn the engine over if you have spark then you have to pull the fly wheel off and check the fly wheel key
