My Computer will NOT start up blank screen?
So, your computer wont start up? What to do? First disconnect all attached devices, Then we must check to see if there is any Power, Try unit in another power point, if Power Point proved OK, then try & change the Power Lead in, proved OK, then Check the Power Supply, do you see the Fan "Kick"? On the Power Supply AND the CPU Fan inside, proved OK, then Check to see if there is power to the Motherboard? Often there are LED's that show if power is ON. proved OK? We must now remove the Power from each device, DVD, Hard Drive, leaving ONLY the MotherBoard connected. OK, So we are at the MotherBoard, it still won't power up, everything else has been removed... now remove the RAM. power up, Proved OK, if NOT, then the RAM is your problem replace.it power ON, Proved OK, If not then your MotherBoard is Faulty, proved OK, then start attaching devices and re-starting & rebooting each time until you find the one that stops the PSU. That is your problem. At each step if you don't have a, proved OK, then, that last step was your faulty bit, replace or remove.
What we have to do is at each juncture we must test each item in turn, and do a reboot each time connecting & disconnecting to prove the faulty bit.
So say we have tested all from Power Socket to MotherBoard & RAM all test OK, then we start to attach the hard drive & it won't power up, or say it was the DVD, This then is the source of your problems.
