SOURCE: washing machine w827 drum fills when the machine is switched off

Before you replace the valve, try to back flush it. It may allow you to run water through it from both directions and clear the obstruction. That wil save you the cost of a new valve. Also, get some inlet hose filter screens. They go into the supply hoses, with the narrow pointed end toward the water supply.

SOURCE: The on/off switch has stopped working - unable to

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but with such a fault it is virtually impossible for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what is wrong with your washer.
It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB, water inlet control valves, door solenoid, main motor, drain motor etc..
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

My indesit washing machine 12 hundred keeps flashing blue and red lights and won't do anything

Possible that the suspect could be the controller board, you can switch the machine off power for sometime, check the power outlet for the correct voltage. If not the front panel must be removed to check on the board and a possible fault of the processor or memory.

My Pfaff model 1211 machine won't come on. The power switch has been replaced but no light and no power for stitching

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere as the power seems intermittent. Consult your repair man to check the electrics.

My Juki HZL-E80 won't turn on

no, the light bulb won't cause the machine not to work, check the
power cord to see if it's plugged into the machine correctly, if it is
then the machine needs to be checked to see if it's the power
cord or the on off switch or the machine it's self

Brothers sewing machine

first check the outlet to see if it works
next check to make sure the power cord is plugged into the machine
correctly.
if you've done the above things, & you push the switch to turn the machine on & it still won't come on, then the machine needs to be
checked.

DRYER WON'T TURN ON

first check the power to the machine itself,, plug in a light or something to make sure you have power, if thats ok, remove the back of the machine, and check for power ( with a meter) into and out of the thermal fuse, you can see one here,, and also a door safety switch and other pics to check,, http://www.partselect.com/dryer+dryer-wont-start+repair.htm

No hot water

I guess you have check the settings on the machine.

So I am guessing possibly the acuator (electric) that switches the hot water flow on and off and being initally controlled from the timer circuit. Both hot and cold have actuators. These are usually what the flexible hoses screw into. The will have connections on them inside the machine.

You need to have the machine looked at.

WARNING
If you tamper with or check the wiring yourself, ensure the plug is removed from the powerpoint.
You can still get an electric shock of the neutral wire if it is plugged in, even if the powerpoint is turned off
