Hello Rjkustom,

I have gotten terrible results using SUPER-Glue on
UNKNOWN types of plastics... (No...!!).

You would need to know PRECISELY what kind
of plastic ... Even then the results or often
less than CHARMING...

This is someone you are trying to make feel better...

I looked on the internet... eBay specifically
and whole cameras can be purchased here
(SF Bay area)... between $16 & $30 ... (US Dollars)
22results for olympus 1040 digital

My best advice is to look for a "donor" camera
(and make it like it never happened).

Go onto eBay and see who... & how cheaply
YOUR LOCAL Market area Olympus 1040 digits are going for...

Side note...
Here.. There seem to be a couple of colour options.

All the best (good luck with this).

SOURCE: my olypmus digital c-750 ultra zoom camera will not format

The problem is that the largest xD card that your camera can support is an M or H 512mb card. The 1gb or 2gb cards are not compatible. The firmware in the camera cannot support memory storage with that capacity. The camera came out before those cards did and there no plans to upgrade the camera to allow those types of cards to be supported.

YOU HAVE A BROKE SWITCH
THERE IS A VERY SMALL SWITCH BEHIDE A BATERY DOOR, JUST ABOVE A SIGN "PUSH TO EJECT" THIS SWITCH IS VERY SMALL AND YOU CAN NOT REPLACE SO WHAT YOU CAN DO IS, TAKE THE VERY SMALL SWITCH OFF (YOU WILL NEED TO USE A NAIL OR A NEEDLE TO REMOVE A SMALL PLASTIC SWITCH ) AND THEN STICK A SMALL PEACE OF METAL INSIDE OF THE HOLE (METAL TAPE WORKS GREAT) IT WILL BY PASS A SWITCH.

What happened? did you drop the camera? did you let it unused for months and months? Can you open the battery chamber/memory card slot cover?
Can you move up the orange battery latch?
Is there any debris in the battery chamber or memory card slot?
did you push in the memory card, so it can jump out?
Please inform, perhaps I can help a little more.

I have a Samsung Intensity cell phone. I bought a

The Intensity has a slot for a MicroSD card -- is that the kind of removable memory you bought? (Anything bigger won't fit.)

Turn your phone off, and then pry off the back cover by using the little slot at the top of the phone (near the camera). There's a little groove where you can slip your finger in and pop the back cover off.

When the cover is off and you're looking at the phone's battery, the MicroSD slot is to the left, just above the camera button on the side of the phone. Stick the memory card in the slot (it should only fit in one way) and then reattach the back cover and turn the phone on.

Sanyo VPC-S1285 what is the best memory card for this camera and how do i put it in?

You want an SDHC Memory card UP TO 8GB's in size. A good one is shown at: http://www.jr.com/sandisk/pe/SAD_SDSDB8192A1/ but you can Google the above type memory cards and take your pick.

Then, open battery cover on camera. Slot for dropping memory card into is right next to opening for dropping in batteries. You will see a little picture on camera of a card in-between the battery openings when looking straight at the slot (with one corner appearing to be cut off which is how memory cards look) showing how card should go into the slot but also read instructions that came with memory card.

My samsung impression dropped in water and touch screen broke

I also dropped my Samsung Impression in the toilet, I immediately took the phone took the protective case off, took the battery cover off, and took the battery and my SIM card out and towel dried it as best as I could. Then I sat it on the floor next to my fan and let it dry until I got to my grandparents a little while later and I put it in a bowl of rice, completely covered the phone and battery with rice and left it sit overnight in the rice and all of the next day, so far i've had it on about 20 minutes and have had no problems with it so far, another solution is to sit it in the sun, to further dry it out. Water damage will void warranties on your phone and battery and your provider will know instantly if the damage was water related when they take your battery cover off, there is a small square sticker that when dry and hasn't touched water should be white, but as soon as it comes into contact with water it turns red, there is also one of these stickers on the battery. My stickers were red and after sitting in the rice they look like they got lighter in color considerably, I don't know if that is really possible but appearance wise it looks that way. I hope this helps anyone who has had this problem. Good Luck!

Little bit on battery cover broken. So won't close!!!

Those parts are not easily attainable. You will need to send it in for servicing. You could also buy a parts camera and try a DIY repair, but that may void the warranty.

The screen stays black

It could mean your battery or memory card is not inserted properly.. Mine also does this when my battery is low.

EX-Z850 Casio Camera

Same problem. My camera is 3 weeks old. I dropped it at a short distance onto a wooden floor and it immediately said my memory card was locked. I took the memory card out, it was not locked. I tried 4 different cards and they all say the same thing. If I take the memory card out, the camera runs fine on internal memory, but only holds about 8 pics. I've tried everything. Please help!!
