1. Turn off the engine. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
2. Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
3. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Resetting the Engine Oil Life Display if maintenance service is done by someone other than your dealer, reset the maintenance minder as
follows:

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
2. Press the select/reset knob repeatedly until the engine oil life is displayed.
3. Press the select/reset knob for about 10 seconds. The engine oil life and the maintenance item code(s) will blink.
4. Press the select/reset knob for another 5 seconds. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.

If you forget the password to your Blackberry, it will give you a few attempts and then prompt you to enter the word "blackberry" a few times. After that the phone will totally reset back to factory specifications and irretrievably wipe all data on it.

After that, you can only restore the data if you backed it up to BlackBerry Desktop Manager and to do that you'll still need the lost password. If the password is lost, so's the data as even the manufacturer cannot bypass the password.

After the phone resets, you can usually use it again, but if it's a corporate phone it will usually have the Enterprise Edition of the Blackberry operating system installed. This allows the owner of the phone to set it so that the phone cannot be used at all after it wipes itself of user data. Turn the ignition to (II) - do not start the engine. Press the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel repeatedly until engine oil life is displayed. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for more than 10 seconds. The remaining engine oil life reset mode will be shown on the multi information display. Select RESET by pressing the INFO (??²/??¼) button, then press the SEL/RESET button to reset the engine oil life display. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset. *Models equipped with the keyless access system have an engine start/stop button instead of an ignition switch. Pushing start/stop button once without starting engine is equivalent of ignition (II).

The Engine Oil Life System calculates when to change the engine oil and filter based on vehicle use. Whenever the oil is changed, reset the system so it can calculate when the next oil change is required. If a situation occurs where the oil is changed prior to a CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message being turned on, reset the system.
Always reset the engine oil life to 100% after every oil change. It will not reset itself. To reset the Engine Oil Life System:
Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC.
Press and hold the SET/RESET button on the DIC for more than five seconds. The oil life will change to 100%.
If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message comes back on when the vehicle is started, the Engine Oil Life System has not reset. Repeat the procedure.

there is no light for emissions testing on this vehicle. there is a ses light that can come on, indicationg a problem with the engine or transmission electronic system. this will require a scan tool to pull trouble codes. there is another light called oil life monitoring that needs to be reset after oil changes, which I suspect is what you are seeing. here is a picture of the light and the instructions for resetting.,

After changing the engine oil, the system must be reset as follows:

1. Turn the ignition to RUN, with the engine OFF.
2. Press the information and reset buttons on the Driver Information Center (DIC) at the same time to enter the personalization menu.
3. Press the information button to scroll through the available personalization menu modes until the DIC display shows OIL LIFE RESET.
4. Press and hold the reset button until the DIC display shows ACKNOWLEDGED. This will tell you the system has been reset.
5. Turn the key to LOCK.

If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message comes back on when you start the vehicle, the Engine Oil Life System has not reset. Repeat the reset procedure.

Most often you need a code reader with a reset function that can connect to the computer jack under the dash and reset factory functions like that. Pain in the tush if you are changing your own oil. Mechanics and dealers have the equipment to do that reset.

If you bring it back to the mechanic who last serviced it he will gladly reset it free of charge.

If a situation occurs where you change your oil prior to a "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" message being turned on, reset the system.

1. With the ignition key in "RUN" but the engine off, repeatedly push the trip/reset button until "OIL" is displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC).
2. Once "OIL" is displayed, push and hold the trip/reset button for five seconds. The number will disappear and be replaced by 100 (indicating 100% oil life remaining).
3. Turn the key to "OFF". If the "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.

If this does not work you may have a problem with your instrument cluster.
