Volume stuck in high position

Make sure that the volume + button on the front is not sticking. If it is spray a little WD40 on it and free it. Then you should have control over the volume.

Audio stuck on high

You cannot adjust the volume when the stereo cord is plugged into the back of the dock. Instead, plug the stereo cord into the front headphone jack of the dock. You will be able to adjust the volume then.
