You can format your Nokia 5000 device by typing: * + 3 + call + Power on. Before the device is reset, you need to provide the lock code. The default lock code is 12345.

Press menu button or enter Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone management > Factory settings > Delete data and restore > YESRestore factory settings
To restore the phone back to factory conditions, select Menu > Settings > Rest. factory sett. and from the following options:
Restore settings only - to reset all preference settings without deleting any personal data
Restore all - to reset all preference settings and delete all personal data, such as contacts, messages, media files and activation keys
IMPORTANT!
Formatting the device will permanently erase all user data and settings as well as add-on applications and operator specific settings

hi, if your phone is asking for security code when you switch it on then all you need to do is enter this master code 2073773056 once this is entered it will then give you access to the phone and it will reset the code to what it was when new.
If the wrong code has been entered moret than 5 times then the phone is hard locked and can be only unlocked using leads and software also this can only be done at a phone shop and they will charge for this service.
If how ever you are using the phone but cant remember what your code was to change it then you need to take your phone into a phone shop to have it flashed so they can then tell you what the code is on the phone as the master reset code only works if the phone is asking for the security code when you switch the phone on.
