FineDrive 400's were manufactured by Navman, but are not supported anymore in any fashion, no updated maps, no op system upgrades, no Windows drivers or anything. If and when it malfunctions, you may be forced to get another unit. If it can't get a signal, provided that you are in the open, outside, that would indicate a receiver failure.
call your carrier and tell them you need your new phone configured. they'll send a few texts to it and it'll be done.
call from another line if you can when you do this.

Are you still having this problem? Sounds like you just aren't getting a good signal. Antenna is not properly mounted, not getting good singal.
Or, the antenna and/or cable is damaged.
