Hi there, I recently did a firmware update for my Sharp LC-46D64U. I did this to see if there were improvements in the digital TV signal strength as I had heard that Sharp attended to some of those issues. After the update, my VCR and Cable inputs work fine and bring in video and audio. However, my separate Phillips DVD and Sony Blu-Ray players no longer give a video signal. I can hear audio from the component audio hookup from the DVD (video is also component) and the Blu-Ray is HDMI, but no video signal from there. Clicking on View Mode on the remote, I get the message "No View Mode Screen is Available". Inputs have been checked, connections are fine as they should be. TV plays TV channels, VCR and Cable inputs just fine. Can't get 'digital' disc signals though.

It is not your TV part of your set it is your the DVD console. U will have to let a tech clean it for you. Do not try this yourself you will damage it.
