Will my 10 amp power supply run my radio and my 100 watt linear both of them
NO
you cant use a 10 amp supply is the answer for both units
you need a 20 amp supply
look for a diawa supply on ebay
youll find a 40 or 30 amp type for about £50
a quality unit that will never give you any problems
fans are handy too keep things cool
also a decent 1:1 swr and good quality heliax cable is a good idea too use
I will answer the question. Figuring that 10 amps is continuous not peak. 10 amp multiplied by 12.5 it should be good for 125 watts. But you are on the ragged edge. I do agree you should lower dreaded key but you did not ask that question. But a swing kit will solve that. That is amusing SSB and the 80 watt cobra 29 comments.

the radio you are trying to fry your amp with is driving the amp to hard. that radio has a toshiba 80 watt final inside the radio you are killing your radio with the dead key at 2 watts it causes the final to overheat and shut down because it is not built to be turned down that much. its best to turn the radio back up and use the radio.

simeon is right you need atleast a 15 amp power supply. the draw on a 100 watter alone is about 10 amps then your radio is about 4 i would go with a 20 amper to be thermally safe .
