Hook up a/v cord and have it on standy (red light)...push and hold power button for about 7-10 seconds or until you hear it beep......Let off...wait another 5-10 seconds.....is it on now????? if not your audio/video card in it might have went out....

First, look at the back of your television AND your VCR and see if you have Audio/Video inputs . Though your TV may not have them, almost all VCRs do.

There might be a problem with the AV cables (Audio Visual) or theres more then 1 port for the AV cables to go. If there's more then one AV station on the TV try switching to the other ones.
There are certain settings on the PS3 that has to be changed each time that you switch from High Def to AV. You have to plug both cords in and turn the PS3 on and view the screen with the High Def. You have to go to Settings --> Display Settings --> Video Output Settings then follow the instructions. ok hook up the audio video in the OUTPUT on vcr and INPUT on the tv then make sure tv is changed to the right input channel now go to vcr and change that channel to AV,.if AV isnt there you may have to go into menu of vcr and do a channel search,but when you change it to AV on vcr you should see the picture
I had this exact same issue. I tried two different component AV switches, and shorter cables to prevent signal loss, but any time there was too much white on the screen, the video still lost sync. Plugging the sources directly into the TV solves this problem, but since I have a DVD player, a game console, etc, this was not acceptable. The way I resolved it was to (sadly?) buy an expensive component AV switch that can support the bandwidth without losing the signal. I wound up spending the extra money on a Key Digital 4x1 component switch. It is much more expensive, but it works.
A blue screen means the TV is not receiving a video signal. Check all connections, then try another player, cable, etc. Also, check DVD and TV AV settings.
I am having the same issue with mine. I even set everythign back to factory defaults and it still wil not work. Isn't there any tech support palced to find help? See post by Scriptster. Thanks
