that means that the wii remote it out of reach (the light that human eyes cannot see is not seen) or you don't have the sensor plugged in, or the black thing on top is dirty, and you need to clean it for it to work. (this won't help if your wii is not responding to the wii remote.)
sir think your remote is not working properly... you better try to reset your remote for your nintendo wii console... this is how you can reset your remote...
How to Reset Your Wii Remote
1
First you will need to check a few things, just to make sure what the actual problem is.
*Check to see that all cords are properly plugged in.
*Make sure the sensor bar is properly center above or below your tv set.
*Make sure that nothing is blocking the signal to the sensor bar.
*Make sure that the batteries in the remote are in good working order.
*Make sure that there are no wireless devices close by that might be interfering with the signal.
2
If after all this the remote is still not working then it probably needs to be re-synced.
3
Turn off and unplug your wii console for a few minutes.

*Turn the power back on and when
you see the the safety screen open the small flap on the front of the

If your four lights still blink blue then you need to open the little compartment on the console that is right below the disc tray. Inside is a little red button, press the button. Now open your battery compartment on the wii remote and take out the battery, then press the red button inside. Put the battery back in and the controller should sync up. info).
Make sure you are using fresh batteries in the Wii Remote.
The Wii Remote Controller should be used between 3 to 10 feet from the TV.
Make sure no objects are blocking the signals between the Sensor Bar,
the Wii console, and the Wii Remote.
Check for interference from infra-red light sources, such as candles,
sunlight, fireplaces, and stoves.
Radio frequency interference may cause the Wii Remote to work erratically.

phones, wireless computer keyboards or mice, or other similar devices, and move or turn them off.

Here are few Home remedies that should help you fix the issue. If you still face any problems then it is an internal issue with your remote and you will have to contact the nintendo support.
Clean the Wii remote pointer lens. Use a soft cloth to remove
any sticky substances. Wii remote jackets, stickers or other objects
should not block the remote pointer lens, as it will cause characters
to move erratically, disappear or remain off-center.
Operate the Wii remote between three to eight feet away from the sensor. Otherwise, it will not perform properly.
Note
that infra-red lights from candles, toys, appliances, fireplaces and
even sunlight may effect how the Wii remote performs. Try to remove or
reduce infra-red interference from these sources when possible.
Turn
off or move wireless devices located near the Wii console. You may be
experiencing radio frequency interference from other wireless devices.
Check to see if anything is blocking the sensor. Clear objects
away from the sensor and console to enable the remote to send a clear
signal to the Wii system.
Center
the sensor bar directly below or above your television. Having the
sensor off-center may cause the Wii remote to perform poorly.
Re-sync the Wii remote to the Wii system:
Completely turn off the Wii system. Remove the batteries from
the remote. Turn the power off on the Wii console. Unplug the unit from
the wall. Wait five seconds and then replug the unit into the wall.
Push
the power button to turn on the Wii console. After the health and
safety screen appears, open the small door on the front of the Wii
console. Locate the red SYNC button. Push down on the SYNC button for
fifteen seconds. This resets all previous SYNCS on the Wii system.
Re-sync
the Wii remote. Locate the red button on the remote control under the
battery cover. Push and release this red button. The Wii remote should
respond with blinking blue lights.
Push
and release the red SYNC button on the Wii console. Place the batteries
back in the remote. When the remote is successfully re-synced, the LED
light will remain lit.
Repeat the re-syncing process with all other Wii remotes on this system.
