My tromm lg 2077cw has decided to stop spinning. I read the problem solver on the website, but it did not fix the problem (unplugged the machine for 30 minutes - actually drained the water out, and try to run with a no spin cycle, but the spin lights up and it tries to spin). The unit is only 3 years old - it tries to spin and actually will make a revolution or so then just keeps 'nudging' the drum, trying to turn but not able to. help.

With a digital volt meter you need to measure the ohms value of the hall sensor. It has 4 wires. White red blue and gray. With the meter set at 20k ohms check hall sensor at the control panel. From white to blue you should read 9.5 K ohms. Same with white to red. If u get 9.5k ohms on both readings u have a bad main board. However to me I think your pump is bad. LG washers will not spin if they don't drain.
The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.
LG themselves have some information on this error code..
We have an LG TROMM with the same problem, 3 years old as well. We bought the extended warranty (Huge waste of $$$$). So far they have determined it is not the motor or either of the control boards. We think it might be a relay switch or possibly the brake. Good luck with yours, we just went out and bought a new washer.
OE code should appear. I've been able to re-start after unplugging the machine for ten minutes and then re-plug and it did clear the code and spin out but I'm back to the same problem and unplugging isn't working anymore. I'm wondering now if the issue maybe the machine isn't level. Well, something I'm now going to check. Good luck.
take off the front kick plate on the bottom and there is a pea trap thats conected to the pump twist it off and see if it is cloged thats what usaully makes it not spin
An LE error is a locked rotor. The hall sensor on the stator part of the motor is not sensing the rotor part of the motor is turning. So the short version is you need a new stator(which has the sensor on it or just the sensor) replaced which should have a 5 year warranty on it so call LG for your nearest authorized service center
