I ask a question click search up pops several search eng but i can not open have i closed something in the task bar at the bottom of my screen
SOURCE: I cannot get Taskmanager Option
hi try this if ur adminstrator
Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe gizmo 1 (A) SOURCE: Opening of drives
I have seen this several times and it is brought about due to a virus that creates an autorun file (autorun.ini). SOURCE: my task bar don't show the tasks running
This problem occurs because the Fixccs.exe file generates some garbage keys in the registry, when you install the sp2 with security update 905749. SOURCE: search window opens when not doing a search
That is a sure sign of an infection. SOURCE: It seems i cannot find the SEARCH in the Start
press ctrl+alt+del for the task manager. and for the search right click on any folder or drive you will find SEARCH option there.
PLS REPLY
OR COMMENT. THANKS
Click on "Close Gadget." The search function is now gone from the sidebar; however, the search gadget is still installed on your computer for future use if you ever decide to re-add the item to your sidebar.
Right-click on the sidebar search gadget you want to remove, and click to select "Uninstall."
Click "Control Panel."
Double-click "Windows Sidebar."
Remove the check from the box next to "Start Sidebar when Windows Starts."
Click "Save." Now, the next time you load your computer Windows Sidebar will not start.

Navigate to the following branch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies\ System
In the right-pane, delete the value named DisableTaskMgr
Close Regedit.exe
In this file when you double click the drive, executes the file and in the autorun file exists any of the following: -
Microsoftpowerpoint.exe
smss.exe
.... or many others.
It is good thing that you have a strong antivirus which seems to have removed the viruses and therefore when the information file is opened, it does not find the executables it was supposed to run. That is why it asks for a program to open.
You can prove this by right clicking on the drive to see a shortcut menu and in this menu, the bolded menu will be the action taken when double clicked and the possibility is that you will find Autorun bolded.
To resolve the issue do the following:
1) Open My computer program or windows explorer.
2) Right click on the drive and open or explore it.
3) Locate the file Autorun and delete it. If the file is not shown, from the folder options choose show all files. This is because sometimes this file may be hidden.
Try double clicking the drives again to see if you get he same error.
NOTE: Many virus developers have made possible for people to install/run viruses in there own computers by simply double clicking the drives like flash disk.
go to the following link.
click on the "view and view hot fixes"

First of all perform all the Windows updates.
Second, run your AV program, an antispyware, and hijacker programs.
Its going to be lenghty and tedious job, but necessary if you want to keep your information.
Another solution could be make a backup of all your data, and format and reinstall your OS.

Why im on Ask not google?
click the three lines at the top right corner, settings, (a new tab will open), the 4th group down is Search, you're set to Ask, just change it to Google. Just close the tab, it saves the change instantly.
If you mean the home page, also go to 3 lines, settings, and the second group "on startup" select "open a specific page or set of pages" and then click Set Pages. hover over any pages you don't want to open at startup and click the X to remove, and in the box for Add New Page, enter http://www.google.com/ then click ok, and close the tab.
If you mean something else, let me know exactly what you want and I'l try to help.
Why do these ads keeping popping up?
If you're using IE Explorer, click on "Tools" (top right corner of screen - tool bar), put your cursor on "Pop-Up Blocker" (in the drop down window) and click on "Pop-Up Blocker Setting". Then, at the bottom of the window, set the "Blocking Level" at HIGH - which blocks all pop-up from showing up on your screen.
You can do it for other browsers as well ... e.g. Mozilla Firefox ...
click on Open Menu (the 3 horizontal bar on top right corner), select Options (in the drop down window), select the "Content" tab ... and check of the box (on the top) that says Block Pop-Up's, and then close.
Often pop-up's show up because your activity (viewing, searching, etc.) on the browser is tracked. Yes you can turn off tracking too !
This tracking info is used by "ads spawning" processes/apps to select which ads is displayed on your computer. So, you can reduce the amount of ad's by deleting cookies (particularly for these ads programs) every time you're done and close your browser ... just like you remove your (browsing) history, temporary files, cache information, etc.
