My Westinghouse TV sometime freezes on power up, getting stuck on the W logo. The only way to get out of this is to unplug the TV for a while and then everything is fine. The rest of my equipement is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD and a Sony upscaling DVD, all connected by HDMI.
I'm I the only one with this problem, and is there a workaround ?
Hi there,
After contacting Westinghouse directly they told me to plug the set directly into the wall socket and that should fix the problem. I tried and same thing happened on Powersaver mode but on normal mode same problem didn't occur. So I guess I won't be saving $20 to $30 dollars a year on Powersaver mode! Still love the set.
I have a similar problem with my TX-42F430S; Mine freezes when changing from Comp 1 to Comp 2. unpluging and waiting was the only fix. Just recently my TV just started turning off(after about 30min of watching) and the led will flash blue. I need to unplug for about 10min before it works again. Getting frustrated and I have contacted Westinghouse to send for repair. only had the TV for 3 months; connect to Roger Explorer HD box.

I have the same problem. As of now no solution, hoping someone out there will help.
The W pops up for 10 sec. then a black screen.Unplugging does not seem to help.
I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE DISCONNECTING THE HDMI, UNPLUGING THEN TRUNING ON SEEMS TO FIX THIS ISSUE
I have the same problem. I saw on another blog someone said it was when you power up in power saver mode it would freeze up but it also happens occasionally in normal mode as well. Love the set but I guess you get what you pay for. Will spend more next time for a trouble free TV...hopefully!
Since I've reconfigured my TV not to use power saver mode (3 weeks), it did not happen once. Thats a good enough solution for me.
