SOURCE: paper jam

If the jammed sheet is entirely within the printer, remove the sheet as follows:

r_2.gif Open the printer cover by pressing the latch on the left side of the printer and lifting the cover up all the way.

Printing automatically restarts from the page that jammed. If the Paper light stays on after removing all jammed paper, open and close the printer cover to clear the error.

SOURCE: Ricoh Aficio AP2000 Laser paper jam

Found solution myself.. The paper sensor arm with flag and sensor was missing from the exit side located on the fuser assembly.. Customer apparently broke off prior to calling for us to repair. Solution-replaced fuser assembly clean and tested works great

SOURCE: Paper Jam...grinding noise

The print head lock is probably not retracting. Look for the white plastic block that pokes through from the paper feed side just in front of the head. Push it in with your finger and move the head to the middle by hand. Now turn the machine on. Then turn it off using the correct method. Then turn it on once more. If it starts grinding again, you screwed the feed mechanism when tugged out the jammed paper (probably pulled it backward through the feed instead of making it go forward and out the correct exit). If this is the case, you may as well bin it. If it in warranty, you can try to get a claim for repair.

SOURCE: RICOH Aficio 150 Paper Jam Reset

There is not a reset for jams in service mode. Did you open and close all the doors and make sure they are closed all the way. Most likely you still have a small piece of paper left some where in the paper path or you may have a broken sensor flag.

Paper jam #0, rplcd all rollers, toner cart, not picking up paper, screaming noise at pwr up.

Look for a piece of paper stuck in the printer on the feed path. They love to get stuck in the duplexer and fuser. The screaming noise is something that indicates there is something still not right in there.

Good Evening, I have a i420 Kodak Scanner when scanning in images it makes this high pitch screaming noise.

I highly doubt the main board is going bad. There is a huge difference between an electronic high pitched noise vs a scanner noise. Does the noise only occur while scanning or when parts are moving? If yes, then a scanner noise. If the noise is on all the time even when idle, then you have an electronic noise like an open or leaking capacitor.
On this particular model the seperation idle roller builds up with paper dust and will cause a high pitched noise. Like nails on a chalk board. Very simple fix. Open cover. Grab seperation assembly and pull toward the tray at the front of the scanner, it will pop loose then lift up. Make sure to pop it back into place good. Be forcefull. With the assembly in hand, clean, and lube idle roll. It is the first metal/plastic roll the paper touches at the tray entrance. Also clean the shafts and bushings for the rubber rolls. Reassemble and you are all set. Happens on EVERY I420 scanner I have seen.

Dishwasher starts and gets somewhat filled then starts making a high pitched screaming

Hello,

The reason the dishwasher gives the high pitch screaming is because there is some sort of system error in it.

Try to troubleshoot it from the procedure in the users manual, to detect the fault and fix it.

Take care

91 S-10 it has a high pitch scream

It sounds like a worn or loose fan belt. It's slipping on the pulleys causing the screeching noise.

Hi i have hust turned my laptop on and it is making a biig noise and it is not stopping it comes on when u turn it on what should i do

Are you getting a high pitch screaming or a grinding noise? The Fan on the heatsink sometimes getting clogged with dust and over time this can cause the computer to turn itself off. Dependant on a high pitch scream this could be a number of problems, memory modules loose or faulty?? Would need more info about the type of sound..

Screaming acer!

sometimes if the inverter board (the part that drives the backlight) has a cold solder joint on it, it can actually generate a high pitched resonating sound (aka a screaming squeal sound)

if it's under warranty, have the manufacturer correct the problem.

if not under warranty, retouch the solder points on the inverter board, or have a repair tech fix it for you.
