After a paper jam my aficio c240dn is making a high pitched screaming noise when it switched on. I cannot see any paper stuck and the paper that was jammed took out correctly what can the problem be?

If the jammed sheet is entirely within the printer, remove the sheet as follows:
Make sure that the printer is turned off.
Open the printer cover by pressing the latch on the left side of the printer and lifting the cover up all the way.
Warning:
Opening the printer cover exposes the fuser, which is marked CAUTION Hot Surface Avoid Contact. Be careful not to touch the fuser. If the printer has been in use, the fuser may be very hot.
Remove the developer cartridge.
Caution:
When removing the developer cartridge, never touch the developing roller under the flap; otherwise, print quality may decline.
Remove the photoconductor unit.
Caution:
Never touch the photoconductor unit's light-sensitive drum; otherwise, print quality may decline.
Remove the paper from the paper path.
Note:
If paper is jammed at the fuser, grasp the bottom of the paper and pull it out.
Reinstall the photoconductor unit, and then the developer cartridge.
Close the printer cover.
Tap the edges of the stack of paper on a flat surface and carefully
reload it into the MP tray. (Do not reload curled or wrinkled sheets.)
Printing automatically restarts from the page that jammed. If the Paper light stays on after removing all jammed paper, open and close the printer cover to clear the error.

Found solution myself.. The paper sensor arm with flag and sensor was missing from the exit side located on the fuser assembly.. Customer apparently broke off prior to calling for us to repair. Solution-replaced fuser assembly clean and tested works great
SOURCE: Paper Jam...grinding noise
The print head lock is probably not retracting. Look for the white plastic block that pokes through from the paper feed side just in front of the head. Push it in with your finger and move the head to the middle by hand. Now turn the machine on. Then turn it off using the correct method. Then turn it on once more. If it starts grinding again, you screwed the feed mechanism when tugged out the jammed paper (probably pulled it backward through the feed instead of making it go forward and out the correct exit). If this is the case, you may as well bin it. If it in warranty, you can try to get a claim for repair.

There is not a reset for jams in service mode. Did you open and close all the doors and make sure they are closed all the way. Most likely you still have a small piece of paper left some where in the paper path or you may have a broken sensor flag.
