SOURCE: menu and ok buttons dont work. cant reset time/date

noway of skipping without having access to the buttons,im afraid but usually fault is caused by one of the buttons jamming and locking the rest of the keypad.pressing the buttons can usually locate the culprit as there is no movement.if you cant free the button will have to be brought to service.

One of the buttons is constant presset in.
Under the button is a metal membrame, sometimes it happens by to mutch force the membrame is defect, it doesn't popup again.
Try to find out witch button doesn feal good anymore, can you work without it ?(for example left macro), open camera and remove membrame.

SOURCE: camera turns on but it does nothing.

The ribbon cable for the buttons has either come out of its socket because it was not locked down (does happen) or it is broken and will need to be replaced. Fuji will not send out spare parts but will fix it for a price. Last quote I got from fuji to fix the keypad ribbon on an F470 was £80. check ebay for donor camera

SOURCE: says date/time not set but wont let me set the time or date!

Broken keypad ribbon. It's because the keypad ribbon is folded over twice and the creases split over time. have a look at my tips page for this problem. It won't help you much I know and the only solution is a replacement membrane.

The date display option can come from your camera or the software programme you use to view. Start with the software and disable the date & time display function. If this doesn't work then go into the camera menu and in the display setting change the date & time to either disable or none.
