[email protected] What could I have done? For years I have logged into my virgin.net emails but today for some reason it is defaulting to Google. One for all!? instead of using my quick link I can only get into my emails by going, via Google who are my search engine, to Virgin media? have I done something wrong. I know I am a bit of a technophobe but I'm sure I have done nothing different. My husband did open a gmail account 2 years ago but I have never used it. I can't even get that to work either - not that I want to. Please help if you can.thank you

I have a NTL account with Virgin but I believe when you leave them the account goes as well. Try accessing virginmedia.com and asking for help.

I would create a new email address.

May be it's the server that your emails come from that is full.
I use virgin.net and every now and then I have to log in to my email on virgin's site and empty the inbox there, otherwise I don't get my messages delivered to my pc through outlook.
Just a thought.

All you should need to do is to clear out your web browser cache and cookies which is where any stored web page content is held.

Download and install a copy of the CCleaner utility if you are unsure of how to clear the browser cache and cookies manually. CCleaner's default settings will clear the cache and cookies for all installed browsers.

Check the security settings of your mail server to ensure you're not being blocked.

Settings - E-mail

You'll need to complete all steps for this to work. Make sure that if you have to enter O2 in the settings you use the letter O and not a zero.

The following settings are if you use O2 Email as your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

If you require different settings eg Yahoo, Gmail etc please click here

1. Tap the Application tab on the bottom of the screen
2. Tap Email
3. Tap Next on the Welcome to Email setup screen
4. Tap on the Email address text box and enter your Email address then tap Done
5. Tap on the Password text box and enter your Password for your Email account then tap Done
6. Tap Next
7. Your phone will now try and download your setting to your phone and set up your account, if this can not be done you will see the message, Setup could not finish. Unable to open connection to server. Tap Edit details to continue.
8. Tap Manual setup
9. Tap the Username text box and enter your full Email address then tap Done
10. Tap POP3 account
11. Highlight POP3 server and tap the text box and enter mail.o2.co.uk
12. Check that Port is default set at 110
13. Highlight Next and tap
14. The phone will now check your settings
15. Tap the SMTP server text box and enter smtp.o2.co.uk
16. Highlight Next and tap
17. The phone will now check your settings
18. Tap Next on the Account options screen
19. You now have the options to add a name for your new account plus add your name to outgoing messages
20. Tap Done

ok go to the facbook login page and just under where you put your password it says forgot password just click on that and it will help you get a new one then you will be able to get into facebook.

You may have to contact your serivce provider to get your net connection activated. Now once done log on to the mail server, log with your mail ID and password to be saved into so that it becomes your default settings to go to your mail box.

contact your Internet Service provider Virgin.net and tell them and they can implement the proper filters on your account to stop the spam

Some times this problems happens when you sign on with another computer but you for get to sign the computer off so you look like you are still signed on and then it will not let you sign on, After some time it will sign you off it's self but it takes time that you have to wait.
