I am having the same issue and hope someone can post a solution. I have found a work around though. Mine does it when it is on a 'Regular' wash cycle, I found that if I put it on Permanent Press it works fine.

Turn power off AT THE WALL,under the wash bowl Spray some wd40 on to the pump at both ends, while this may stop it for a while. Your pump may well be on its way out. you should replace for a new one. bad pumps can cause more problems problems .

I would suspect that your lid lock switch is faulty, or maybe it has come unplugged from the motor controller module. You can access this by removing the whole top moulding but I cannot remember now how to do this now. But it wasn't difficult. Hunt around and download a copy of the service manual and the IPB.

Is the lid lock tang on the lid ok & not broken.
You need to jam the lid lock lever in the lid lock down for it to do a wash.
This is where your lid lock is

Check the lid lock tang on the lid is not broken off.

Lid lock indicator flashes and washer will not spin

The lid lock switch is defective and tthough the lid is closed the contact is not short . This connection must be establised as the safety feature when lid is opened to stop the motor from rotating.
So remove the lid switch which is fixed on the hinges section and a possible contact spray can rectify the switch contact. If not replace and set for the washer to spin.

your door needs to be re-aligned so the wax motor assy can lock the door so the unit senses its locked and can continue the wash cycles
