They also have the opportunity for you to nominate 3 friends to hold certain keys, to help you recover the account. You didn't do that either. You could have written the password down, nope, didn't do that either. It seems that you failed at all the key places. Facebook the company are certainly not interested in helping you on a personal basis. They gave you all the steps to help yourself, but you took none of them. Keep trying known passwords. If you ever signed in on a computer, it may have remembered the password. There are also Password Revealer programs that store all your passwords. on a computer. I have one called 'PasswdFinder'. If you have an iPhone, they are all stored in 'Passwords'.

After you try to login and fail, a link near the login button will show up that says "forgot password." If you can at least remember the email address you used when you created this account, this link will help you reset your password. You will have to check your email to complete this process.

Ignore that message! That's a scammer trying to steal your information, incl password etc. report the message ASAP! Do not open email, do not click to change password or a thief will have your personal info. If you already responded to that message, I advise you to change all personal info on accts. Access Facebook to your account and select can not remember facebook password. They will send a new password to your default email account. I'm sorry to say this but you're out of luck. The best thing you can do is inform all of her friends and family about the account being hacked. The worst thing the hacker will do is send them requests about stupid stuff and try to get their information too. So if you see her account posting stuff, do not click it at all or sign into anything they send you.

3. Follow any other instructions given by FaceBook (like confirming your email etc...).

You should now have a FaceBook account.
