The door close mechanism is linked mechanically to the CD read mechanism .unless the door close signal is relayed satisfactorily ,the CD will not play .get it checked by an authorised person and don't do it yourself since the laser from the lens is harmful .
I understand that your new Frigidaire dryer, model# FASG7074NR2, stops at the beginning of the cycle and states that the door is open. I also see that opening the door firmly, closing the door firmly, and unplugging your appliance, the display still reads "Door Open", and will not run. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your dryer and determine why it is stating "Door Open". I hope this is helpful.
The oven will not turn on the heat because it thinks the door is still open. It thinks the door is open because it has a sensor that gets pressed by the door when it closes (look around edges of oven that get covered when door closes) this sensor is wet, dirty or broken so when you close the door the sensor still says its open. Did you clean around the door with a wet cleaning fluid?
Inspect the power cordUnplug
the power cord and check for voltage at the outlet. Also inspect for
damage, shorts, or burn marks that can be a possible safety hazard.
Bad door switchIf your
microwave does not work at all and you know everything is plugged in
properly and the outlet is functioning, then also check the door hooks
and the door release button. Using a volt-ohm meter on RX1, check your
terminals. When your microwave door is closed you should have a reading
of zero. Once the door is open the reading should change to infinity. If
these readings do not match up, replacement of the door switch is
necessary.
Blown fusesTo determine
if your fuse has blown out, which may attribute to your microwave not
running, you need to pull the fuse out using a pair of fuse pullers. Lay
it down and using a volt-ohm meter on RX1, check both ends of the fuse
in question. If you do not get a reading of zero, then you will need to
replace the fuse.
Bad fan motorLocate the
fan and remove the leads. Again using the volt-ohm meter on RX1, check
the terminals. If an infinity reading is displayed, it means that the
fan has gone bad and requires replacement.
Remove the case and confirm that the door latch switch is mechanically intact. Next, disconnect the switch and test it with an ohm meter to see that it is actually working. It should show a short (0.0 ohms) when the door is closed and no reading when the door is open. Those readings could be reversed but there should be two distinctly different readings when testing the switch. If you don't see any differnce between readings when the door is open or closed then replace the switch. This should solve your problem.
Test your door safety interlock switches. If you are like me, you 'turn it off' by opening the door. This causes arcing at the little contact in these micro switches. Eventually, the contacts inside burn up and cannot make contact. If they cannot make contact, the machine doesn't know if the door is open or closed.
Unplug the machine - do not touch the silver thing inside - potentially lethal! - check with a volt-ohm meter. The switch should read "open" when the door is open and "closed" when the door is closed. If it reads open when the door is closed, the microwave doesn't know the door is closed so it will not turn on the magnatron.
Yes, everything else will work except the magnatron if this $10.00 switch is broken. Buy a replacement at a electronic parts or appliance place. Be ready to give make and model of your machine.
there is a small button in the slim that picks up the door open or closed. if the plactic pic on the lid is broke it will read as the door open even if the door is closed. you can takeit apar tand tape down this switch.
You have a problem with the door alignment and the door switch.. The slightest movement triggers the door switch. You should have someone look at what is causing this issue.
