Telstra easy touch discovery 3 phone.silent mode is off,volume button is up. But there is no ringtone

It doesn't have a Microphone Mute Button according to the manual. It is an 11 year old phone, so probably has a failed microphone. Repair or replace with something a bit more modern.

Hard reset, factory reset.

To turn off the ringtone:

Press and hold the Power key on the top of the phone, then tap Silent mode.
Press and hold the down the Volume key until the volume bar is empty and the Ringer volume icon has a x next to it.
To set the vibrating alert:

1.From the Home screen, find and tap Settings.
2.Tap Sound & display.
3.Mark the Phone vibrate checkbox.
Tip: When in silent mode, press the Volume key up once to activate the phone vibrate mode.

Do the opposite to turn it back on.

Change your ringtone

1. In Menu mode, touch Settings → Phone

profiles.

2. Touch Arrow next to the profile you are using.

3. Touch Voice call ringtone or Video call

ringtone.

4. Select a ringtone from the list and touch Save.
5. Touch Save.

go to menu,ringtone settings,then go to ringtone volume and adjust it according to ur need,u can use side buttons for this also.

Check if your iPhone is not in silent mode. Push the Ring/Silent switch upwards to turn off silent mode. You'll know that the silent mode is not on when you don't see the small red dot at the Ring/Silent switch which is located just above the volume buttons.
