How old is your printer? Maybe a part in your printer has reached its service life and has to be replaced. Please indicate error messages if there are any.

SOURCE: Canon Pixma MP140 freezes, only alarm lamp is on, no code error

  • Turn off the canon printer

  • Hold the Resume Button (red circle in the triangle), add a printer (click “Power”) an indicator light green.

  • Hold the Power Button, release the Resume Button.

  • Not releasing the Power Button, double click “Resume” and release Both Buttons.

  • Click “Resume” for Four times

  • Once you click “Power”, to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber). To disable the printer “Power” button to click again.

    Paper won't feed in my Pixma MP 530, and I get a flashing alarm.
    You need to tell us in what is the sequence the orange and green lamps flash. This will tell us what error you are getting. its more accurate than any error code given by the pc.

    7 orange flashes and then one green..what does that mean?
    7 orange flashes of the alarm lamp means that FINE cartridge is not installed in the correct position. Confirm that the FINE Cartridges are installed in the appropriate positions.

    My canon ip4000 5 yellow flashes with 1 green flash.

    After long green flash, there are 2 or more alternating orange and green flashes. There may also be a Service Error message on the computer screen. 2.     Try a hard reset first - Unplug printer from AC power source for a minutes and from PC. After a minute, reconnect everything and power up and see if it works..
