SOURCE: Photosmart D7260 does not sense Paper in maintray

I had the same problem. I hadn't used the printer in a long time and it took a few minutes to figure out what I did. This may not be your problem, but there are two sliders on the main tray. The first goes left to right and the second goes front to back. If you've use normal 4x6 paper you put the paper in and push the slider forward to lock in the paper so it prints straight. The problem is if you run out of paper and haven't used the printer in a long time, you may try to slide the paper in just like you would a normal printer. But for it to work, you have to pull the front-to-back slider back, and make sure the paper is forward of that slider. If you've pushed it way forward after trying to shove your paper in, you may have to find something to pull it back out again, because your fingers might not be able to get in that far.

Quicken 2008 won't print anything in reports in black

You need to replace the Black cartridge, as it appears the colour one is fine. Look in the printer options on your PC for a display of ink levels, and you'll probably find the black down to zero. If you've used generic cartridges, not genuine HP, you may find the printer can't actually read the ink levels.

I have an HP Photosmart A646 printer that I bought in the hopes of printing to 5x7 card stock. We have pre-printed card stock that we use for gift certificates and we need to be able to feed the card stock...

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

Depending on the program you are using to print your gift certificates, try this-

1) Open the program and open the file you use for your gift certificate.
2) Click on 'Layout' then 'Page Set Up' (probably found in the top menu bar by the right side of, FILE.)
3) Select 'Landscape' and then select, 'Custom'.
4) Enter 5x7 for height and width.
5) Enter the information you need in the data field, (ie, name address, etc.)
6) Select, Print.
7) When the 'Print Manager' box opens, click on, 'Properties'.
8) Click on, 'Type' and choose, "Envelope'.
9) Click on, 'Size' and choose 5x7. - and click, OK.

Your printer should have a slide where the paper is inserted. Place one of the 5x7 cards in the slot just as you would an envelope and slide the slider until it is 'close' to the card but not directly against the card.

Click, 'Print'. The printer should recognize the card (due to its thickness) as an envelope and print it.

I am getting blank pages when trying to print from my HP photosmart D7260. It says all of my cartridges still have ink.

1 run a cleaning of your cartridges, if you have not printed for a while they may have dried and will need a clean to get them going again.

2. if cartridges are new ensure that the protective foil is removed from the print head.

3. ensure that you have the correct driver for this printer installed on your processor.

hope this helps
