After 2 years 3 months of great service, 6810ST dishwasher stopped with LE error code. Approved LG repairman said motor is burned out -- ordered replacement. Any recall posted ?. 3 months out of warranty -- my owner's manual says 1 year on labor, 2 years on parts.
No recalls at this point. the repair man is correct. the circulation motor is damaged.
You should know that, this model has many issues that we deal with on this site that concern this (LE) trouble code. The circulation motors are not reliable in this model.
Is this something I can do myself or does a trained mechanic have to do it?I think I found a source to buy this motor...:

Wiring connection is OK? The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. The rotor of Washing Motor is locked. The Blade is locked.
Remedy:
Check the wiring connection. Replace the cause of restriction. Replace the Washing Motor. Replace the PCB.
Try the following steps:
Unplug the washing machine if you see an LE error on the two-digit display electronic readout. This error indicates a miscommunication between the control panel and wash motor.
Press and hold the "Start/Pause" button on the front panel for five seconds.
Hello,Sounds like a mechanical obstruction somewhere :->. Possible bad rollers or idler pulley. This could have snapped belt. Need to removed front door panel and lid to get at it. Open the door and rotate the inside drum by hand and see if it moves freely. If it does, you may rollers are probably good. Turn on power and listen for the motor turning on. If you hear a low hum then possible idler pulley or belt issue.LE error on DW - no quick fix here. I heard of wiring issues on the LG's, broken wires, that go from the control panel down to the motor/sensors/etc that result in this error code. I'm not up to speed on the LG dishwashers yet so maybe someone else can contribute.Rich
I just had my LG dishwasher fixed. I told the repair man that LE light was comming on. Even over the phone the repairman said its probably broken wires on the door. Me being in construction for years looked around the door for wires. Anyway the repairman took off 6 screws around the door, took the cover off. You will see about 50 wires taped together. He pulled them aside and visually checked them one by one. Sure enough two were broken in two. He twisted them together put tape and he was gone. $87.50 Still Working!
LE means ( Motor error ) Condition : The motor is working abnormally. Possible cause : Wiring connections. The impeller of washing pump is locked. The rotor of washing motor is locked. The blade is locked.
You'll have to disassemble the unit and make sure nothing is stuck in the pump or locking the blade.
If this LG LFD6810 dishwasher is less than 24 months old, the parts are still covered, just not the labor.
Recommend you contact LG service and discuss your failed wash motor.
And yes, because the impeller (and the motor it is connected to) does not spin freely, it is the culprit.
Good Luck!
The LE error code can mean that the impeller is damaged or there is some debris blocking the the sump area underneath the filter or the wash motor has failed. In that order.
Remove the spray arm and filter (9 phillips screws) - inspect impeller for damage, with flashlight, look everywhere for debris (watch out for broken glass!) Reassemble and test.
If problems continue, schedule as service call focused on the wash pump/motor.
Good Luck!
hi, le means locked motor disassemble the filter and work your way down to the macerator(steel chopper blade) remove it and see if the side labeled "this side up" is really up, its in english... dont think the chinese labourers paid attention to the warning cause i have seen alot that were wrong way
if it was installed correctly order the complete motor/sump assembly btw you do know LG d/w came with a 2 year warranty right? and some of the water distribution system had a longer limited warranty read your manual, it states warranty, then price the part, then call warranty depot to ask them their service call and labour to install motor/sump
This part taken from a LG repair manual: (Display Condition LE = Motor Error
Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:
Wiring connection is OK? The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. The rotor of Washing Motor is locked. The Blade is locked.
Remedy:
Check the wiring connection. Replace the cause of restriction. Replace the Washing Motor. Replace the PCB.) good luck.........
LE is locked motor or break in the wire to the motor if under warranty call for service as there is a problem with the noise insulation (in the door) deterioration the coating of wires and causing any kind of failure.
