Question about Asko WL6511W Front Load Washer

Open Question

Asko WL6511XXL door locked and making clicking sound?

Cannot open the door, and there is a non stop faint clicking noise in the background. There is no water in the unit, I opened the door on the front and drained and inspected the cleanout and it was clean. Powered it on and off several times too, pressed and held buttons, all to no avail. Any idea where to go from here?

Garage door opener lite flashs and unit makes clicking noise

If this is happening during the close cycle it is because something is in the ways of the door sensors and preventing the door from closing. When this happens the light flashes and you hear this background clicking till you resolve the issue. Or check the wires to sensors - if disconnected ,same thing happens.

Continuous knocking noise from ice maker. Ice maker has been off for past 3 months. Only thing that will make it stop is turning it off or unplugging it.

Hi Marcel,
Thank you for contacting fixya.

Our ice maker recently had its water inlet freeze up, preventing water from filling the trays. The mechanism kept dutifully trying to push nonexistent ice cubes into a bin that never filled up, which might account for the knocking noise in your case.
To defrost it we just unplugged the unit, took all the food out of the freezer section, and left the door open for a couple of hours. It wasn't long enough for any of the frozen food to defrost, and since we were careful to minimize opening the refrigerator section's door, the food in that part stayed cold enough to be safe as well.

Hi mike_glenn,

Ok, do the following:

1) Press and hold the "Clear/Off" button on the oven until you hear a beep and the word "OFF" disappears from the display. The word "Lock" will remain in the display until the door lock is disengaged, which could take up to 10 to 15 seconds.

-or-

2) Find the main circuit breaker for your oven. Turn it off for fifteen minutes, then flip it back on. This should allow the door latch to open.

I hope this helps

Kind Regards

No water is going into dishwasher duting cycles. there is water going to the unit though

open the door, in the dishwasher, left front corner there is a white dome. Light grey if ss tub. Remove the dome, 1/4 drive screw holds it down. under that is a float. Make sure it's moving freely. if you lift it you should here a faint click. thats the flood switch. try the water again to see if it fills.

the clicking is from the lamp relay which makes the lights flicker and its located on the units rear area in the back, without a model number i cant tell what this boards model number is but you need to replace this whole board as they are non repairable(this is usually caused by a power surge or outage, which can destroy these boards, also even if a lamp in the unit burns out this can destroy this board too)

I have Asko D3350 dishwasher and the Detergent dispenser does not open. We were told to remove the whole dispenser and soak it in water but how do i remove it?

to remove the dispenser is not a 30 second job. You have to remove the door front with a T20 (torx) screwdriver (don't forget the 2 screws in the middle of the door at the bottom) Then you can get to the screws that hold the dispenser in place. Make sure you remove the solenoid from the dispenser BEFORE soaking in water. A more likely issue is either the solenoid on the dispenser has failed and will show signs of burning and/or damage or one of the transistors on the control board may have blown.

I have an ASKO D3250 and it has recently started making a loud noise from the pump area. It starts as soon as the cycle begins and doesn't stop even if you open the door. It seems to stop about 90 seconds...

All power and sounds should stop when any dishwasher door is opened.
Your door switch may be stuck causing it to continue.
The 90 second sound at the beginning of the cycle is the water pump extracting any residual water before taking on clean water for the wash cycle.
Any excessive noise from the drain pump could be debris in the pump. e.g. broken glass.
You can remove the pump and check it for blockage or any foreign object.
