I recently changed my dell from windows xp to windows 7. i now have no audio

Unfortunately, Dell doesn't support Windows 7 for the OptiPlex GX260. You could try an older driver and see if it will work, but you can't get any Windows 7 drivers for the GX260. (At least not yet.)

Check on the dell website if they have windows7 sound drivers for the optiplex280. I doubt it but if they have download and install them. If not you will have to either buy a sound card that is windows7 compatible or revert back to you provious os vista or xp

It worked for me, for the wireless drivers, I installed those for d520 as the ones for d510 didnt work.

Windows 7 and Dell BH200 Bluetooth Headphones
You have to set bluetooth as default audio device. For doing this, go to >Contro Panel> Sound and Audio Devices>Audio(Tab) and in Default Device choose bluetooth device.
In my case, I had problem when i installed SP3 on XP. I changed my bluetooth driver to "Toshiba Bluetooth Stack V6.00.10" and it worked for me.

all windows have different driver for different devices.
so you install the driver compatible with window vista and sound card.

did you try to check if the sound card or the sound driver of the laptop is installed, if not go to support.dell.com and install the latest driver of the laptop,put the service tag of the system and that is the 7 alpha numeric characters at the bottom of your system.
