Can't backup my harddrive

According to the Acer Support web site the Aspire One cannot boot from a SD card so you will need to give more details of exactly what problem you are having when booting this netbook.

my guess is no more support but why not as them first?
vast linux distros exist and more version.
or upgrade to Unbuntu newest and full version?
acer.com usa shows no such thing aoa, vast aoa there and all have letter prefixes
so is wrong model; is is EOL zero legacy support now.

The tested notebook came with pre-installed Linpus Linux, but was tested with Windows XP Home 32-bit as operating system

You'll have to purchase the XP software, set your computer to boot from cd (in the cmos settings), put the disk in the cd and restart you computer. When the screen comes up to "...hit any key to boot from cd" hit any key. The system will boot to the XP cd and will allow you to delete the old partition, reformat your drive, and install XP. Next go to www.acer.com and download your drivers. Finally install your programs and data on to your hard drive. Have fun!

NOTE: Make absolutely sure that you backup the programs and data that you want to keep before starting the XP install!

under driver tab, find VGA driver, click it and download, that is you need for your windows XP

Windows XP cannot be reinstalled unless you have your original ACER backup disks included with your purchase. Sorry, but if you don't have these, you'll need to purchase a copy of XP. BestBuy has the best prices...

For some reason or another sometimes Windows XP will not load unless you partition and format the new disk first. Try it you having nothing to lose as it will do no damage to your hard drive.

For Windows users with AOA 150-Bb model: Download Audio_Realtek_v.5.10.0.5772 (Size: 50.5 Mb) available at ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/netbook/aspire_one_150/driver/Audio_Realtek_v.5.10.0.5772.zip Installing it solves the problem, both builtin and external mics working correctly.

On AOA 150-Ab migrated to Windows XP Professional the Driver Audio_Realtek_5.10.0.5628_XPx86 (Size: 42.6 Mb) seems that works fine.
