If your set worked well (no lines, maybe only white or black scattered pixels) before you replaced the DLP chip, then your problem could be that the DLP chip did not get seated properly or the cam screws were not tightened enough after replacing the chip. The DLP chip must be seated properly in its socket or else line and column lines will be seen. There is also the possibility that the DLP chip is defective or suffered static damage while being handled during the installation. Hope this helps.

Black bar on dlp tv.how do I fix this?

Sounds like a connection problem between board and DLP chip. The BGA connection which connects the DLP chip to the board, or the flex connector may be bad, causing the row and column section to not activate the micro-mirrors on the DLP chip. Not an easy fix. Regards.

Mitsubishi HDTV wd 57734, I changed the DLP chip, but now I have vertical lines about 1/2" apart from left to right on the screen. Did I miss a a step during the reinstall of the DLP chip or is it possible...

you got a bad chip. sorry. Those type of dlp chip if you did'nt installed it correctly you would have no image at all

I have a Mitshubishi xd280u DLP projector which have white dots problem, i got a DLP/DMD chip of Mitshubishi ex-320. Can i replace this (ex320 dmd chip) to the xd-280u prejector???

Tell me all the numbers from the chip?

May i replace LCD Projector Dlp/Dmd chip with DLP projector Dlp/Dmd chip ?

LCD projector have only LCD panels in the Projector
DLP projector have only DMD chips in the projector
there is no DMD chips in the LCD projector
there is no LCD panels in the DLP projector

White death DLP TV

White dots on your RPTV television are the result of the DLP chip being worn out. You can replace it very easily by buying a new DLP chip for just under $190 and installing the new chip. There is a very good forum over at fixyourDLP that offers tutorials for replacing the DLP.

Replace the DLP chip at cost between $160-$300 for the part and about two hours of your own time to do it.

Had one last week and now there are 6. they are

Hi,

You get white spots inside the samsung DLP tv due to bad Digital Micromiror Device , or bad DMD board .

What is actually the problem is the DMV chip connected to this board . Inside this chip are 3 million tiny mirrors ,and when they physically get stuck , they either show black or white instead of a color
This is well know problem with SAMSUNG DLP...

The DMD chip is failing.If not under warranty expect to pay a few hundred to several hundred to get it fixed

The mirrors on the DLP chip are slowly sticking either fully open (white) or fully closed (black). The part that contains the DLP chip is the Light Engine. It is the most expensive part of the TV.Only the Samsung TVs has this issue.

Replacing the DLP chip and the micro mirror would solve this issue...

Why won't my Mitsubishi WD-Y57 DLP turn on? No sound, no power light. Nothing. Bulb started dimming and eventually became dark. Do I need to reset it? What's the procedure for getting it to work again or am I going to have to have a repair person look at it?
