I want to upgrade the motherboard of the netbook to make it faster. How can I do that? Where can I get a faster motherboard for it that will fit?
Unfortunately laptop motherboards are not like desktop motherboards - on laptops the motherboards and laptop itself are unique. The motherboards cannot be replaced to a different, faster model. the only components that you can probably change is the memory and sometimes the hard disk.
On regular laptops you can change the processor, memory and sometimes the graphic card. But some laptops you just can't because the some models of processors are soldered right onto the motherboard same as the graphic card. Especially when it comes to basic models and some newer all-in-one models. Netbooks are also part of these since the processor is not a old type removeable processor but mostly a soldered onto the motherboard chips. Like tablets and cellphones. Also the graphic card is a soldered chip. Because mostly netbooks are made to be light, low-power and low-heat also. They are not made to be sold for high performance but all-day surfinf on the net. Hoping this help.
Just get another laptop. You can get many other laptops that are better and faster for the price you will pay to upgrade your's to the specs your wanting.Just move on from the one you have.
SOURCE: i have an emachines EM250 netbook (windows xp)that
This system had Intel GMA 950 graphics which has no color adjustment, not does the BIOS that supports the system. I think the main issue is the high brightness LCD this model has: http://support.gateway.com/emachines/notebook/2009/emachines/em/em250/eM250sp2.shtml
which does not have a cooler option.
Sorry but this sub $300 netbook doesn't have any options to cool the display (Some don't)
