Ok first u always want to make the opener is in the down position sbout 1' back from the nose piece . Check the travel screws they are white plastic ones make sure they are snapped in and the contacts are ok not bent ,burnt or broken off on the craddle its labeled up and down . Never hook the opener to the door rightaway .so unplug it take the chain back off plug it in with cover off run it to the down position Unplug it hook the chain back up 12" back from the nose

Check the white female plug that goes to the RPM sensor board. Its like pins. Also check the black "wheel" that spins on the same sensor board. Sometimes the wheel gets knocked out a little when you rebuild the gear and sprocket assy.
Check that your RPM board didn't come unplugged ..it mounts under the black wheel by the worm gear
JUST NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. REPLACE THE GEAR KIT AND YOU SHOULD GET MANY MORE
YEARS OF SERVICE.
Unplug the unit - take of the cover - you will find white shavings inside - these confirm the Get the gear AND sprocket kit.
