Stator replacement The manufacture was not available so thought this dfang might be it.I know my first mistake was buying a Chinese Scooter, However I did so now my problem is out of the box it runs great .. and stops running after it warms up, I called the site of purchase and they said it is a Stator, so here I go I am waiting the arrival of the stator, and was told to look the replacement on youtube I can not find anything, in face I am not sure where the stator is located I thought on the right side seated on the bike.. however I was told by the tech line (not very convincingly) that it is on the left side under the pulley of the belt drive. They are sending me parts for free so I will play the game .. so sorry I did not purchase locally. but here I am The brand is dongfang DF300STG any help will be appreciated Thanks Andy

MY SON HAS A CHINISE BIKE AS WELL. OUR STATOR IS UNDER THE LEFT SIDE UNDER THE PULLEY SO THEY MOST LIKELY TELLING YOU CORRECT

DONT BUY ONE OF THESE
My tip is DONT BUY ONE. I did and got burnt BADLY. I bought it NEW for $3000.00 NZ Whilst still under warranty it burnt a hole in the piston, and dealer was unable to identify problem. It has just burnt its 3rd piston at 18000k and I am all done with this piece of ****. They also have a bad problem with wear on the oil line from tank rubbing on frame. When considering first buying a scooter i was advised to avoid the chinese machines and buy from a reputable manufacturer.......like YAMAHA. If I had spent the same money on chinese bikes I would have been able to buy three of four for the same money and just throw each one away when the tyres wore out and get on the next one. I would still be riding a scooter if I had done this.

Additional description of problem
Actually, to me your description (will drive approximately 1 mile and then stalls and will not start 5- 10 minutes), sounds like the gas tank isn't venting, creating a vapor lock.

An easy check is next time it stalls, remove gas tank cap and try starting it that way.
If it starts right up, that's your problem, and you need to find where the vent is plugged.

Call the manufacturer. I found the chinese versions not all that great because of the language barrier when translating them for print. ALWAYS check ebay first you may be lucky there.
