How do I remove a stuck toner cartridge from a Brother TN630 printer

If you have a stuck toner cartridge in your Brother TN630 printer, here are some steps you can try to remove it: Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Open the front cover and carefully remove the drum and toner assembly. Locate the release lever on the side of the toner cartridge and push it down. Try to gently pull the toner cartridge out of the drum unit. If the toner cartridge is still stuck, try gently wiggling it back and forth while pulling it out. If the toner cartridge still won't come out, try using a pair of pliers to grip the cartridge and pull it out. Be careful not to damage the cartridge or other parts of the printer. Once the cartridge is removed, clean any debris or residue from the drum unit and the cartridge itself. Reinstall the drum and toner assembly back into the printer, making sure it is securely in place. Close the front cover and plug the printer back in. Turn on the printer and test if it is working properly. If these steps do not work, it may be best to contact Brother's customer support for further assistance or to schedule a repair.

On a mfc j65 10DW the colour only prints in lines

do you mean there are lines in the color printing? this sounds like the unit may need to be cleaned and the color cartridge/ toner/developer unit (depending on technology used) may need replacement

Indicates black ink empty when its not.

Try removing the cartridge and shaking it. Brother printers use an optical ink monitor with a float inside the cartridge. The float can get stuck sometimes and indicate incorrect ink level.
But keep in mind that printers often indicate 'empty' (on purpose) while there is still bit of ink left in the cartridge, to prevent running out of ink during printing. If shaking doesn't help, replace the cartridge.

Brother MFC-7420 just started printing a shadow image

Sounds like a bad drum cartridge. Pull the toner/drum cartridge out of the machine and set it down. Press down on a (blue?) tab to release the toner cartridge, and you can lift the toner cartridge out of the drum cartridge. There is a cleaning blade in there - a soft plastic blade that rides against the drum and scrapes off toner that didn't get transferred to the paper. If it gets stuck off the drum surface, images repeat a few inches (one drum circumference) down the page.

A new DR-350 drum unit should fix it. have the machine's power on when replacing it. While the door is open, touch the CLEAR key. The display will read "REPLACE DRUM?" or something like that. Press 1 for Yes.

Ink cartridge won't click in place

no. the ink has stained the led-control board. If the printer is in warranty call brother. If not, you need a new cartholder as a spare part.

I believe there is a sheet of paper stuck in my Brother HL-2040 laser printer. I am unable to remove the toner cartridge to get the paper out; it seems to be stuck. What should I do? Thank you.

I knew I had to take out the toner cartridge but I couldn't remember if it was one piece or two. I went to over a dozen websites before I found some details beyond "Take out the cartridge." However the image was not clear. I asked for help from my wife, who knows less aobut computers than I do. She said, "It's definitely two pieces," and took the toner cartridge out, whereupon I removed the paper stuck in there and put the toner cartridge back in. Moral of the story: When even the instructions fail, ask you wife. Thank you, dear!
