I have a HP CLJ 4700dn printer which keeps on giving 49.2FCC

If you mean toner, you can probably do it, but most new printers have a memory chip on the cartridge which keeps track of toner. Adding toner will not change the count and the printer will ignore the new toner

Laser beam error, caused by the "black" laser.(each color has it's own laser). !st go to www.hp.com and upgrade the firmware. You can do that yourself. If that doesn't fix the problem or you are uncomfortable doing the upgrade, call a technician.

1. Open and close the front door.
2. Remove the print cartridges, and then reinstall them.
3. Close the front door.

More than likely your fuser is toast..the rollers and mechanical parts eventually get worn out..
i would suggest to replace it.

The error stands for:

59.XY PRINTER ERROR

X is in your case 3 : FUSER MOTOR STARTUP ERROR.
Y is in your case 0 : NO COLOR

The service manual says:

1. Reconnect the connectors for the fuser motor and on the DC controller PCB. Replace any damged parts.
2. Replace the fuser drive assembly.
3. Replace the DC controller PCB. Calibrate the printer after replacing the DC controller.

You are having a fan issue. Check all fans to insure that they are working properly and replace the one you are having the problem with.
