My motherboard is ECS M925 1.0 that supports
both SDRAM and DDR memory. It has two memory banks for each type. I know that you cannot use the two
types of memory simultaneously. What kind of ddr memory will I use that is compatible to my motherboard? How can I change my memory from sdram to ddr?
DDR Sdram at 200Megahertz or 266MHz. Low density, Non-ECC, 184-pin.

In-between the SDR Sdram ram memory slots, (Outside of motherboard), and the DDR Sdram ram memory slots, (Inside of motherboard next to Processor), is a Junction Panel.
It is JP1, and has two pins.
These are two be OPEN, when using DDR Sdram. NO jumper cap is installed. (Jumper cap used for SDR Sdram)
On the outside edge of the motherboard, that is on the same side as the SDR Sdram ram memory slots, there is a series of jumper pins.
J3D, J3C, J3B, J3A, J2D, J2C, J2B, J2A.
They are all to be SHORTED when using DDR Sdram ram memory.
FUNCTION:
DDR1, DDR2: Short all J2A/B/C/D and J3A/B/C/D pins.
Doesn't mean you can use DDR2 Sdram.
The two DDR Sdram slots are marked DDR1 and DDR2.
[The two SDR Sdram slots are marked DIMM1 and DIMM2 ]
Motherboard will support Intel Pentium 4 processors, that use a Socket 478 processor socket, and have either a 400MegaHertz Front Side Bus, or a 533MHz FSB.
There is also a jumper block (Panel) to set for the CPU Clock Frequency.
(CPU = Central Processing Unit. Another term used is Microprocessor, or simply Processor for short )
It is JP1A1, and JP1B1. Two 3-pin blocks together.
CPU Clock is 100MegaHertz?
Put a jumper cap on pins 1 and 2 of JP1A1, and pins 2 and 3 of JP1B1.
CPU Clock is 133MHz?
Put a jumper cap on pins 2 and 3 of JP1A1, and pins 1 and 2 of JP1B1.
[NOTE*
Intel processors are 'Quad-Pumped'. Means a 100MHz internal clock is 'pumped' up to 400MHz.
A 133MHz internal clock is pumped up to 533MHz.
SDR Sdram is 'single data rate.
DDR Sdram is 'double data rate'.
Means 100MHz DDR Sdram is actually 200MHz.
133MHz DDR Sdram is actually 266MHz ]

(Just saw this, needed proper solution)
The normal DDR Ram is supported..It doesn't support DDR2..

sound driver
please for me sound driver motherboard Ecs M925
you have to change a jumper setting on the motherboard and the compatible memory would be low density ddr pc2100 266mhz desktop ram but i dont know how to change the jumper setting
PC doesnt boot O.S when i add new ddr ram even when removing old sdr. i would also like new bios
I added 1 gig of ddr and couldn't get the system to recognize. I removed the jumper, but no luck. Anyone have any solutions?
Thanks...Todd
