I had the same problem. Had to connect using the composite cable, when to settings, changed it to HDMI. This turn the display on my TV off again. Then plug in the HDMI and it worked!

I also expected it to be plug and play... Hope this works for you...

How can I get the picture to come on on my Samsung UN46EH6070FXZA

If the picture is not coming on your Samsung UN46EH6070FXZA TV, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the power: Make sure the TV is properly plugged in and the power outlet is working. Try plugging in another device to confirm the outlet is not the issue.
  2. Check the connections: Ensure all cables are properly connected to the TV and the source device (cable box, DVD player, etc.). If using HDMI, try a different HDMI port on the TV.
  3. Check the source: Verify the source device is turned on and outputting a signal. Try changing the channel or input source.
  4. Perform a reset: Unplug the TV from the power outlet and wait a few minutes before plugging it back in.
  5. Try a factory reset: Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. Note that this will erase all settings and preferences on the TV.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem and the TV may need to be serviced by a professional.

When selecting the source, HDMI 2 will not highlight, Only TV. HDMI cable connected to box and to HDMI2 port on TV

You have to check the HDMI cable. In Samsung tvs the HDMI sources only highlights if the a proper HDMI sources is connected to the corresponding HDMI port of the tv. Also check by connecting any other device which have and HDMI connectivity to the HDMI 2 port.

Silver crest tv

This sounds like the Silvercrest TV is not recognising the netflix. They may not be compatible, but I don't know why they wouldn't be. If there is any other way to hook it up such as RCA plugs or coax adaptor then try those. However before I did that I would work with programming the TV. By it starting to load then giving you a blue screen it means that it started to load and lost all signal input. The Blue screen as you probably know is what we used to call 'raster'. It is what the TV shows when it has no input. The TV is sampling the input and not finding anything that it recognises and dropping the download attempt. The WDTV has a different format than most other devices. See if the Silvercrest has a special function in the menu for WDTV if not I would try some other hook up such as the RCA Jacks if possible. Check your service manual on the TV or Netflix and see if either mentions any thing about the WDTV. You may need an adaptor. If you are like me and don't have the service manuals then you can go on line and see if the TV will run WDTV. I'm thinking I had a problem I had a problem with WDTV adapting to some kind of a TV and the best I remember I had to get s special adaptor for it. It has been a long time since then. I do know that the WDTV's frequencies are different 'the ordinary frequencies that is use with normal broadcasting. Let me know how it turns out.

RE: Denon AVR 3300 - I cannot get the system setup menu to display on Phillips P50PFP5332D tv screen? All connected components work and sound great, but I cannot see Denon's Setup menu on tv to a

I understand, it's something I've misunderstood on my denon avr-790 as well when connected to a samsung 8000 series led tv.
The answer isn't in the receiver's settings (you can be on whatever source you want on the receiver end when toggling the menu). You need to toggle through the tv's sources to find the menu (usually found on hdmi 1). I've spent towards an hour recently troubleshooting only to find that it was the tv's source that wasn't set properly and I was trying to change the receiver's settings instead of the tv's source.
Hope that helps!

PIP function does not work, the settings is greyed out also! I have a wii, PS3 and freesat :)

Hi nikkicollier,
PiP for your TV works between two different sources. This means between a component source and an HDMI source or between an HDMI source and another HDMI source. PiP also works with a PC connection, e.g. when using the TV as a computer display. PiP does not work between two component sources. The setting will be grayed out when you don't have a configuration that is supported, as the Samsung TV's are usually able to automatically detect which sources are plugged in and available.

I'm not exactly sure what sort of configuration you want your PiP to work in, but try one of the following configurations.
  • TV Cable (through VCR or other via Component input) with Satellite in PiP (via HDMI input)
  • PS3 (via HDMI Input) with Satellite in PiP (via Component Input)
  • Wii via HDMI Input) with PS3 in PiP (via HDMI Input)
You can usually find an HDMI cable for much cheaper at an electronics supplies shop, Radio Shack, or on eBay or Gumtree.
To change your PiP settings:
  1. Press the MENU button on the remote control. Select Picture and press Enter.
  2. Select PIP and press Enter.
  3. Press the enter button again, and press up or down to change the setting to On and press enter again.
    Note:
If PIP is activated the screen will display in widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio.)
  4. Press the up or down buttons to select the Source then press the Enter button.
Select the source of the sub-picture by pressing the up and down arrows and then pressing the Enter button.
Note: The sub-picture can serve different source selections based on the what the main source is set to.
    Note:
You may notice that the picture in the PIP window becomes slightly unnatural when you use the main screen to view a game or karaoke.
You can download the full PDF manual for your TV here (large download at 26MB.) Much of the PIP information can be found on pages 13 and 14.
Good luck, I hope that helps.
