I have a Maytag Gemini Double oven, model # MER6770ACW. I just had the control panel and both sensors replaced. Oven still doesn't work. It burns the outside and the inside is uncooked. In the case of muffins, rolls, baked goods..the insides are doughy. A repairman has been here 3 times and I've spent over $700 fixing this one. I'm told I am picky and to lower my oven temp for any cooking. Is there any hope for my oven?

Maytag Gemini, double oven electric. Replaced bottom element, replaced thermal sensor and tested power. It still won't heat up. WHY?

There are several potential reasons why your Maytag Gemini double oven electric range is still not heating up after replacing the bottom element and thermal sensor and testing the power. Some possibilities include:
  1. The wiring or control board may be faulty and preventing the oven from heating up.
  2. The upper heating element or broil element may also be faulty and need to be replaced.
  3. The oven may not be calibrated properly, which could cause it to not heat up correctly.
  4. There may be a problem with the oven's door latch or switch, which could prevent it from heating up.

Hi greg_shanoia,

The F1:-4 error code means "Runaway Clean Lower oven". You need to check the oven temperature sensor, replace if necessary.

Hope it helps.

Maytag gemini oven tough controls won't work --

Check the door switch and the temperature probe. If they are ok, then the problem is likely in the control board. These boards can be rebuilt.

Check the sensor for correct ohm reading. If it is good, replace the control. It should read 1143 at 100 degrees

Maytag Gemini Electric Kitchen Range

Codes are correct .The back needs to be removed and your sensor is a 2 wire part ,The easiest way to make sure you change the right one is by turning oven to on and run a voltage test at each end of the thermostat.Rule follows : If oven is on you should have 115 -120 volts present and make sure you have the same at the other end of thermostat ,if you have the volts at one side and not the other than that is the bad thermostat.
