The first 20 minutes I used this floor cleaner the unit worked great; however, the vacuum mode now keeps engaging while I am trying to use the scrub and/or dry modes. I will be using the unit in scrub mode and the vacuum will "click" on - I can hear the unit start the vacuum. It now won't work in scrub or dry mode for more than a few seconds before starting the vacuum. Help?

It seems to be a common problem with this series of floormate... some home quickfixes (a hassle, i kno) but put downward pressure while using the solution.... Check your warranty that came with it, and how long you purchased the floormate... Alot of vaccuums come with 30-90 warranties, I'd recommend having it checked out. That, or if u bought it recent enough, take it back... like i said, these models are unfortunately known to have this problem... Some people have ones that operate normally, but alot do not. >.<

Check the inlet down by the brush roll to make sure it isn't clogged. If not and the hose isn't clogged, then probably the thermo protector (part #28382093) maybe bad. It is mounted near the motor. Could be motor Part #43576188. But I would suspect a clog in the inlet or hose, or the thermo protector has gone bad.

The tank sits on what is called the reservior asm. it is actuated by the control rod inside the handle. With the tank off, watch and see if you can see that rod hitting the reservior asm when you squeeze the trigger. If it is moving up and down on it, then the resorvior asm may be bad. Also check the valve at the bottom of the tank, manually push it in and see if it releases water.
