SOURCE: PROBLEM WITH PRINTER

"10.001" is probably 10.00.01 and is referring to a supplies error with the cyan toner. Try reseating the toner cartridge as the cartridge mounted chip may not have made good contact with the printer. If this doesn't take care of it, replace the cartridge.

Hope this helps!

There is a problem with the proximity sensor for the top door. I have took mine off and soldered the connections over to trick it into thinking the door is closed all the time. I am trying to source a new part

SOURCE: no connection ref hp officejet pro 8500 a909a

How are you connecting to the printer (over the network or a direct USB connection)? If you are using a USB connection, try a new cable or plugging into a different USB port. If you use a USB hub, try a direct connection.

If you are using a network connection, check if your firewall is blocking the connection. Also check that the router (or switch) didn't dropped the network connection and didn't re-synch with the printer (or worse changed the IP address of the printer).

I hope this helps.

My HP pro 8600 premium will not copy or print. Scans fine

hi
Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to drain the power. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again. The printer requires more power when scanning and copying.

Not powerng up.

Make sure that plug is in working order by plugging something else into it. If you need to get to the power unit inside the printer to test it, here's a video on how to get to power supply:
