Rechargeable batteries do have a life, and it can be shortened with misuse. Order a new battery. Make sure to charge it completely before you ever use it. The first time you use it make sure you drain it completely before recharging it. This is vital to giving your new battery a good life.

After fully charged battery power lasted about 20 minutes.

Since it's brand new, return it. You didn't say what type of tablet it is, but they should last for many hours on a charge.

Full battery, doesn't start up

Mine is doing the same thing, and I've tried the same solutions as well as trying different computers and cables to recharge.

The one other possibility for mine is that I damaged it using a generic charger in the car that was supposed to work for "most" MP3 players. It did seem to - I mean, the player didn't blow up, catch on fire, or stop working! - but a day later, it collapsed. Maybe a coincidence, maybe damage from the car charger.

I'm guessing that it's time for both of us to send the units in for battery replacement.

Good luck with yours.

My charger is not working since morning. it was well and good last night.

What do u mean it's not working...??
Check for any loose connections...
It's a laptop charger, and u said it was workin' fine last night, then there's bound to be a loose connection......

If nothing else [like thunderstorms, voltage fluctuations, or any other harmful incidents] hasn't occured, it's connection prob....

Try using different plug-points.... Try checking the adapter if it's correctly connected or not...... If none of this works, call a comp spec.....!!

Acer 5315 Battery cHarging Problems

All rechargeable batteries have a limited life, and as they age their charge capacity reduces over time and you get shorter and shorter time between charges.
Recharage batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and batteries over 2 years old are considered nearly worn out. Worn out batteries won't charge up at all.

Battery Problem

It sounds like you either have a bad battery, battery charger or maybe the battery has dirty connections. Try another set of batteries and if it still happens let me know. BMW
