How to fix my machine?

I bought the machine several years ago from wal-mart. In the past year, its started locking up occasionally. I'll be sewing, and all of a sudden, the needle will jam and the bobbin case will move up and twist on the needle. Sometimes, it will end up taking my fabric down in to, but usually not. I have to take it apart to get everything normal again. Its been doing it alot, and I'm not sure what the problem is. Anyone else have this problem? What has worked for you?

SOURCE: The fabric doesn't move forward.

We need to do some examining. Remove the foot. Put the stitch length dial at the longest stitch. Turn the wheel and see if the feed dogs move about 1/4 inch. Also check to see that they rise just slightly above the needle plate. If it does these two things it will work. If the teeth don't rise above the plate, remove the needle plate and clean the lint out from between the rows of teeth. If you find a lot of tightly packed lint there this will solve your problem. Reinstall the needle plate and foot. If the feed dogs don't move about 1/4 inch, you probably have a problem which is going to require the services of a technician.

SOURCE: Thread won't catch bobbin

I hope to God nobody else pays more for a repair than the machine is worth.

It's ridiculous to spend $300 for that repair since the machine is available almost everywhere for way under $200. You could have thrown that one in the trash and bought a new one cheaper than the repair!!
I paid $129 for mine, had the same problem with two, yes, two of them, and sent them back and was sent another which so far is working fine. There seems to be a flaw in the engineering of that machine since so many people are experiencing the same problem. The machines DO have a warranty so please, please, be careful of unscrupulous repair people. Oh, I'm sorry but I need to mention that I bought my machine from eBay and it was a refurbished machine sold by Ken Sewing and Vacumm in Muscle Shoals, Al. They stand behind their products and were very nice to deal with, they even paid for the return shipping on the two that I returned. Hope this helps y'all.

SOURCE: while sewing the bobbin case moves, wheel locks up, needle locks

Im not sure if this will help but thought I would pass it along. My Pfaff 6122 tells me to check bobbin for thread unrolling clockwise before you place it back in the machine. I had mine turned to un roll counter clockwise, this is wrong, the bobbin will fall out when you pull on the thread while you are holding it in your hand. You may just keep putting it in backwards. Hope this works for you. J.R.

SOURCE: Thread in needle or bobbin keeps on breaking

The tread only breaks in the needle. what can i do . i don't get to sew anything . I tread the needle and get everything ready and start the machine and as quickly as that the tread is broken and the machine has not sewn at all.

SOURCE: brother cs 6000 bobbin moves

Try this for me clean out the hook area under the bobbin case some times dust from thread and cloth build up under the bobbin case and it can push up the bobbin case and cause the same thing to happin.

Bobbin won't wind on Singer futura CE-100

My singer hasn't wound bobbins for years and I don't care because I use a Side Winder bobbin winder. It's much easier than takining the thread off the machine anyway. Available from Hancock, Jo Ann or even Wal Mart for about $30.

Feeding foot does not work

Unfortunatly warranty doesnt apply to you. Warranty on these machine are 2 years for parts and labour. The motor's warranty is 3 years.

Warrantee for Esante

The 25 year warranty only applies to parts that came from the factory defective: not parts that break during use. It also only covers replacement of the part, not labor to repair nor transportation of the part.

The 25 year warranty is probably the most useless warranty in existence. Some company (that shall remain nameless,) started advertising it heavily many years ago, and everyone else followed suit to compete.

Most machines have an effective 1 year parts and labor, and 5 year electronics warranty.

For a more accurate diagnosis of your machine, bring it to a warranty station. They'll be able to tell you the warranty status of your machine as well as diagnose the problem, and repair it as necessary.

All the lights flashing and beeping constantly, wont sew at all , thought it may have been the light blub blown but the light blub only flickers on and off when you turn the machine off

First, check the Button hole lever to be sure it is all the way up. If it is you need to take the machine back to the dealer. It sounds like a circuit board problem which is probably covered under your warranty. I believe the electronics are guaranteed for 2 years. You may have to pay for the labor to replace the board. If you bought it from a Discount store (Costco, Wal-Mart) take your receipt and your machine and exchange it for another one.

USB port connection

I had the same problem. I bought a USB to Serial Adapter (IOGEAR). Works great. I believe I got mine from Wal-Mart last year for around $25.
